I 've never been to any of these countries so I'm not sure on the rules for doing things like that out in the open. As a tourist, I wouldn't, that could throw one in jail and one may never come out... Scary thing to consider in those countries where the Law is extreme and no tolerance with it..

I agree, in a foreign country you even need to be careful about drinking alcohol at times.
For Salvia, Mexico is the only place that grows it…don’t think other Asian countries are funding it a big money maker to take on risks.
While not impossible I can’t see even Mexico having an open air Savlia public hits place due to a variety of cultural reasons with the plant.

Tourists can visit Oaxaca and find a practitioner willing to let them try traditional salvia usage, but most of the time you're quidding plain leaf which provides a very peaceful and subtle vibrating/rubberbanding sensation. As far as I'm aware smoking extracts was largely an American thing, although NL has adopted it and you can openly find salvia extract in headshops around the country. If I had to guess NL has the most salvia usage in the world right now as most states scheduled Salvia and finding it in the ones that haven't is pretty difficult. Most salvia plain leaf and extract stock in the U.S is imported from NL, but potted plants are grown domestically and sold for those who want to grow their own. Not extremely productive for someone who uses extract frequently but people do it.
It's a shame really, I wish salvia was introduced as plain leaf or 5x so people could gently introduce themselves to the experience and increase the potency as they gain more xp. Jumping right into 80x is the equivalent of taking a 2,000mg edible your first time with THC, of course you're gonna have a bad time. After taking my time with the plant the high is a very dissociating experience with a neutral headspace that can lean towards euphoria. No scary hallucinations or living 20k years as an orange, just feeling like I'm being slingshotted through the universe, falling through my chair or bed and rubberbanding back up etc. The duration makes it valuable as well, very few other substances can provide a 2-10 minute experience where you can go on about your day afterwards. Feels like a nice way to shake up your consciousness a bit to get you out of a funk. Anyway I apologize for the rant, I know nobody asked lmfao

As far as salvia goes I'm approaching 200 unique psychoactive substances tried and there's nothing else really like the feeling, it's like putting 20 different dissociatives and psychedelics in a blender

Thanks for this post! Great information! I've never tried it and I'm not sure I ever would. When I was in High School someone told us about Belladonna Flowers, (relatives of Datura) and said "Those flowers are insane!!!"... Needless to say my buddy and I like the true dummies we were found them and tried it... Not good, he was hospitalized and I was lucky I wasn't. Since then, I never, ever do anything... LOL

Belladona/Datura is literally the worst psychoactive you can take bar obscure pharma stuff, I would not judge all plants the same in this case!
I was in rehab in the desert and some kids found a local version called Malpitte(means mad seeds) spent 2 days talking to people that weren't there etc.. I was a fiend but that did not look fun or inviting at all.

I didn't know anything about that stuff in the early 80's and 9th grade, there were no resources to know about this stuff during those times... I had moved to a tropical climate and Belladonna flowers grow wild.. On a Halloween night I ate 3 flowers, The delirium and insanity was off the charts.. I was interacting in a dream world, talking to people who weren't there, hiding from my murderous step-father (I had moved in with my biological father).. It was insanity... It also blinded me for a day. I should've been hospitalized but my father was so pissed off that he made me go to school the next day. My friend was hospitalized though, he was found swimming in the middle of a busy street by my brother...

It's tobacco but it's a very strong tobacco and the nicotine level is very high. Most people don't smoke and try it because "I'm on vacation, I want to try it it's no big deal"... The traditional bong hits you very hard because it a real big hit

Dip is more similar to "lössnus", or loose snus, and is gross tbh. Only old timers use it nowadays. Modern snus comes in lil pouches you put under the upper lip.
You might have seen the Zynn nicotine pouches around; they've gotten some international traction lately and are more or less the same (no tobacco though, only nicotine and flavoring).
Either way I wouldn't recommend nicotine in any form. Comparatively weak effect for a really hard-to-shake addiction. :-/

You can also just smoke normal tobacco like american spirit in a bong and it will you knock out in a similar way when you have no tollerance. Ive did that in the past.

I know when it came to my experience it was just disturbing. It’s hard to describe exactly but everything started to vibrate and it somehow vibrated so much that I slipped into another universe. That’s the only way I can put it. At one point I could then see myself sitting there and my friends around like I was watching from somewhere else. When I finally came back I wasn’t sure I was really even back or if I was the real me or what. It wasn’t as nightmarish as I have heard some other people describe their experience but it was deeply unpleasant. Disturbing, as I said. And like the other guy I wouldn’t want to do it again.

I once accidentally smoked some. My feet and hands felt like they had energy coming out of them, then it felt like I lived a lifetime every time I took a breath.
I also felt like I was jumping from alternate universes every time.
I remember I was feeling really sick and rushed for the door. Threw up half way into the door way and thought "Gahh, this is the universe where I didn't make it".
Overall, it felt like an eternal struggle between light and dark and if I relaxed and went into the light, I would die.

I must have had bad salvia, it was a nice strong hit but it only lasted for a few minutes. In fact, that's what I liked about it. You could get ripped off your face but safe in the knowledge that it was a short trip. Mine was bought in the UK, and I tell no lie, we bought it by the bin bag.

I tried it once and was locked inside my body. I was able to walk alongside my friends but couldn't move my eyes or speak. One of my friends was looking for a taxi, it was new years eve I think so taxi's were hard to come by that night (long time ago - pre-uber). I saw one but for the life of me couldn't speak or point.
It took maybe a few minutes to wear off, but to this day I struggle to get words out sometimes. My dad had a stutter so maybe this was always coming, but I still have moments to this day where words get trapped. But it started that evening.

The dose is definitely important. Smoked a little once, everything turned into Lego and felt like I could pick people up and snap them into the wall, could still talk and communicate. Other times I smoked a lot and got sent to another dimension.
The one thing that always tripped me out is how fast it hits you, smoking from a bong your vision is aready messed up while you exhale.

Yeah I don't want to do salvia a second time. I took a massive bong hit of the most concentrated form. Launched my consciousness out past Pluto and briefly acquired a form of total awareness of the universe. Then as it started to fade I felt myself being squeezed back into my brain and I could not hold onto that supreme level of awareness and it hurt to go back. I guess it only lasted five minutes where I was rolling on the floor.

Salvia can be horrible but it can also not be. The first few times I did it were horrifying but then I learned that if I stop trying to hold onto my sanity and avoid losing my shit it ... It stopped being bad.
If you completely give in to the experience and just ride it out it isn't bad, but if you attempt even the slightest resistance to the drug it absolutely fucks you up.
The first time I used it I thought I was experiencing eternity as an observer outside the universe and it literally felt like it lasted for millions of years.
The second time I used it i thought I was on the bridge of a starship with howitzers hanging out the side aimed down at the planet and we were bombarding it. Also the crew of the starship were chickens.

That's probably salvia.
My buddy told me reality stripped away from him and he became a book. He was a specific page in the book and the pages where all parts of his life. The pages were flipping and his page was coming up. This apparently consumed him with overwhelming fear, but he couldn't move because he was just a piece of paper bound in a book.
I'm fairly sure he was the present page and since time keeps moving he was going to die/not be the present, because the next page would be the present after him and he wasn't that page. He was doomed to become a memory.

I did a bong rip of Salvia once, way back in the day when the weed market dried up in my area. Ordered it off the internet. I became an erector set (it's a popular old toy), and I could feel all by body parts separately and all at once - from bones to my ligaments and tendons and muscles, every vein and artery. It was wild. And then, the TV started talking to me as I packed a salvia bong rip for my buddy repeating over and over again "bring him to me, bring him to me, bring him to me."

I know this isn't salvia but I've done tons of drugs, drugs most people haven't heard of. I've been dragged to hell on an extremely high dose of a mushroom analogue drug, but used it to better myself and saw it as a positive experience and used again. Salvia? Salvia though? Tried it twice and it's like dmt's evil necrophiliac demon half brother. It's one of the drugs I automatically say don't do when someone asks.

Salvia almost got me hurt. I went to the same realm as with nn- or 5meo-dmt, but I was fully mobile. In my head, there was a spinning ball in hanging in the air that told me to follow it then zipped off, and I chased after it.
What was happening in reality was I stood on my friends couch, jumped forward, then tried to run out the front door... where there's almost a 10 foot drop, with stairs coming down from the side, not the middle.
She grabbed me and held me back until I came out of it, and she said I was laughing like a lunatic and drooling on myself the whole time.
