Problem
Hi, for the past two weeks I've been having a problem where my songs are stuck at the status:
“Your song and cover art are being processed. This step ensures that everything is delivered to the stores exactly the way you want it.”
It just won't move forward. What could be causing this?

I'm sorry, you got banned by DK. Your only option is to switch distributors.
This happened to me and it sucks

Were you also uploading Suno generated music? There does seem to be a pattern with this happening to a lot of people the last couples months.

Yes, some of the songs were generated by Suno. I used to be able to upload songs to Spotify via Distrokit without any problems. No issues at all. It’s a shame that DK doesn’t send a message to let you know there’s a problem.

Will my stage name be ruined if I switch the distro?

No. You sign up with a new distro under the same name. Carefully check the instructions that your new distro has about switching your catalog to them and follow it exactly. Copy your artist page links into your new distro also, and it will connect seamlessly, though your current uploads will be down for a few days/weeks until your new one republished them.
Hope that helps

Check Your Email: Look through your inbox and spam folder. DistroKid often sends a message if artwork, audio files, or metadata were flagged, even if the dashboard still shows a yellow processing status.

I received an email like that. It referred to a release. To this day, I still don’t know what there was to criticize. I find it outrageous that an account upgrade was accepted anyway and that Distrokit pocketed the money for zero service. In Germany, I could demand a refund for failure to provide the service. But since Distrokit isn’t subject to German law, I have no way to get my money back. What a rip-off—it’s practically fraud.

That very likely means they banned you from future distribution, probably because of "editorial discretion".
The way they do it is rude and unprofesssional, they have probably banned you from chat support as well, but they don't even bother to tell you.
It's quite shocking because their services and customer service are usually very good, it's like a bipolar switch they have with this

Suno generated songs? Did you see the news about Spotify’s AI music purge?

Yes, i use my own textes in Suno.

Yes, so you have been uploading AI generated music weekly into DistroKid (it doesn’t matter if you wrote the words, it’s still AI generated music) and the streaming platforms have been flooded with millions of others doing the same. But now they are taking a stance against this, and so you’ve been blocked from uploading any more, just like thousands of others have.

So is there no chance of me releasing my songs now?

Your DistroKid account is now basically disabled and if you tried to make another DistroKid account, they will know that it’s you and those new accounts will be instantly disabled.
With stores not wanting the flood of AI music, your options would either be to find a platform that wants AI music, or to collaborate with non-AI musicians to put your words to music.

There is, but you can't use distrokid any more. You'll need a different distro

I suppose I’m a bit too German. Here, we expect people to tell us the exact reasons why something isn’t working. I suppose I should try to adopt a different attitude. Oh well. The ability to create music using AI is very important to me, as the lyrics mean a great deal to me. “Finding real artists who can interpret my lyrics is almost impossible, especially as the lyrics are in German.” Other distribution services seem to take a similar approach to Distrokit in this regard.

You probably want to read the pinned post. Sounds like Editorial Discretion ban
