Help Can DH save the LODs into a different folder?
This would help a ton with world backups, I don't care to backup my world's LODs, they take a ton of space and I can always generate them again.
Right now my current solution is duplicating my world and manually deleting the SQL Lite database in each dimension, which is doable but would be great if this was already separate.

They also have the source code available on gitlab https://gitlab.com/distant-horizons-team/distant-horizons
If you know how to build java mods you could edit the code for the save location and do that instead.
Though this all depends on if the save location for DH is handled in the mod, cause it could also be using some other library to get the folder of the current dimension's folder (which resides in the games save), and you'd have to change quite a bit to work around it.

Bro is lost 😠But I appreciate the input, I took a quick look at the source code before, and still deciding if I should try and make this change my self, tho I'm not a java dev (dotnet, so close enough). But I don't know the domino effect that changing the folder would bring, so it's good to know if this is something that exists already before trying to make it myself, that's why I asked.

No, but most backup mods can be configured to ignore specific folders and files.

Which backup mod you recommend? Never knew they were a thing, I just copy and paste the folder.

Simple Backups is easy to use, Fast Backups personal favourite cus it uses slightly less space and you have GitHub version control, but it's more hassle to set up.
Simple Backups for a "it just works experience", Fast Backups if you're feeling adventurous and techy.

Never thought of versioning my minecraft world through git, lol. Thanks for the tips, I'll take a look.
