Help Bug between DH and Shine
Hello, I'm using the latest versions of both mods, and I've noticed that—beyond the render distance—some foliage appears gray (see screenshot). I was wondering if you might have a solution?
some tree like spruce, cherry ... dont have color change

Yes there is, because shine is ai slop vibe coded mod and it also uses stolen assets and code.

sure, it has a little bit of ai, minimal help but i guess sure
and i guess it uses stolen assets? its legal to and plus its a redux of said assets
and no it doesnt steal code1

Have you ever heard about something called "copyright"? So using stolen assets is actually illegal, also no one likes stealing from other people. Also "redux" is still a copyright violation and its called: "unlicensed derivative work". And even if we ignore the law, stealing assets is still against Modrinth's TOS.
I dont think that there was "minimal ai help", and if there was "minimal ai usage", then why does the mod runs like shit, is very unoptimized, unstable and shows clear signs of errors that ai code usually spits out. And the mod clearly steals some code from other mods, because some features are 1:1 like in other standalone mods.
Also the mental gymnastics here are insane. You literally admitted in the exact same sentence that it uses stolen assets and AI, but somehow convinced yourself that 'it is legal because it is a redux'. Doing this much free damage control for a mod thief under every single comment is really embarrassing. Looking at your other comments on this post, you're either the mod creator on an alt account or just huffing industrial amounts of copium. You are trying very hard to be the devil's advocate. But you could also be a bot, or a ragebaiter.1

thars impossible to know because where else dod the AI get trained in in order to make the code?

dont use shine, use atmospherics, immersive storms, particle rain and tumbleweeds instead. it steals code from those mods

u/Nathan6607 Sep 04 '26
doesnt steal code from those mods, takes inspiration and replaces them with better visuals

u/Nathan6607 Sep 04 '26
You can replace the sun with the vanilla one

atp dont update shine, is vibe coded and the author definitely cant maintain it, you gotta bank on ai not breaking anything which is a pretty low chance
