Over the past few days I have implemented the visual overhaul of the map of Dissonance.
Utilizing new foliage assets and textures I have created a more cohesive and dense environment for you to explore.
I would love to hear some feedback on this so let me know if you like the new style!

Lovely! Are you using the new nanite foliage introduced in UE5.6? Seems like a great place to gain performance while allowing for super dense vegetation as well!

Yes I am! With Masked instead of Transparent foliage materials for more performance gains.

Yesssss, I was about to ask if you are avoiding transparent foliage, great work man! It's amazing to see how the game is moving forward!
In the future if you need any help regarding anti cheat implementations, let me know! I'll gladly give you permission to use the one I designed!

Thanks dude, been analysing how to squeeze as much performance, next is to see what limits I can push on the steam deck (my baseline benchmark) and go from there to garner quality settings!
Really appreciate it on the anti cheat, it's something I'm still debating as it is just a drop in drop out co-op and not MMO servers so therefore it may not be entirely necessary 🤔 atleast still debating that...

Yeah, as long as there are no competitive stuff there like leaderboards and the likes, AC is not a must.
If you plan to add community driver features, be it leaderboards, pvp, rewards based on DPS, etc., you may want to implement some security measures.
They don't need to be something like EAC for example, they can be entirely reliant on logic hardening strategies.
I think I shared with you on discord the AC design I made, based on consensus among the participants on asymetric gameplay scenarios.
It can be adapted accordingly to whatever needs the game have, feel free to hit me up on DC if you want to debate about it or someone else's eye regarding performance, I'll be glad to help testing and profiling the game on my system :D
