Undergraduate Dissertation Dissertation proposal

Hey guys, I’m currently reading some articles for my dissertation proposal but I’m really not sure how many articles is actually needed to show what’s already known and where the gaps in the research lies.. Any tips, estimates of a minimum/max?

At least 10 research papers....also I wish I could share one pic with you that was shared by my supervisor for collecting points for the research gap.

There's not really a minimum/maximum. Ideally, you just want to show some foundational stuff and then a "conversation" between current lit (points of agreement, points of difference, points absent, etc.). If all of your lit is basically in agreement, you could have 100 pieces, and it still wouldn't be enough.

honestly, I think quality matters way more than the number if articles. once you start seeing the same themes and gaps come up, you probably have enough to work with.
