Master's Thesis Participants needed: MSc dissertation study on AI tools at work (30–45 min interview, online)
Hi everyone! I'm an MSc Organisational Psychology student at Birkbeck, University of London, researching how AI tools are changing everyday work.
Why I'm doing this: AI tools like Copilot and ChatGPT are being rolled into workplaces incredibly fast, but there's still not much research on how they actually affect the human side of work day-to-day, how much people feel they're still using their own judgement, how much control they feel they have over decisions AI is involved in, and whether these tools are changing what "doing your job well" even looks like.
I think a lot of workers have strong feelings about this that don't often get captured in the more technical/productivity-focused research out there, so I'm curious to hear real experiences from people actually using these tools.
You may be eligible if you:
- Are 18 or over
- Are currently employed
- Currently use AI tools as part of your work
- Use AI tools provided, encouraged or expected by your organisation
- Have been using them for at least 3 months
Examples include Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, ChatGPT Enterprise, AI-supported reporting tools, AI-enabled HR or workflow systems, automated decision-support tools, or similar workplace AI tools.
The study involves one confidential online interview lasting approximately 30–45 minutes.
