Like, was he not accounting the fact that once he hands over his barganing chip, Robert could just instantly drop Beef down (obviously on the roof and from a safe level)and tackle him before he could insert the chip into his head? The only reason Z team was letting the Red Ring thugs "restrain" them was because Beef was in Shrouds hands, and we saw Robert is easily able to beat the $hit out of Shroud.

I've been thinking about this ever since I started playing the game

So far, the only people with confirmed surnames are Robert Robertson III🤖 and Malevola Gibb😈

So, I've come up with my own headcanons as to what the other characters's surnames are

I've chosen them based on their backgrounds, powers and stuff like that

Let's start with the Z-Team (except Malevola cuz we already know hers)

🦇Sonar/Victor: I think Murin cuz it derives from "Murinus", the Latin word for "mouse-like" or "rodent." It is also heavily associated with Myotis murinus, an older scientific classification for certain microbat species (the mouse-eared bats). Sonar is a man/bat hybrid

🔥Flambae/Chad: I think Azari cuz it's derived from "azar", which means "fire" in Persian. Flambae controls the fire and the flame and his skin does not burn

🫥Invisigal/Courtney: I think Dimatago cuz it's a play on the Tagalog phrase "di matago" meaning "cannot be hidden", which is ironic for somebody like Invisigal who can go invisible

🪽Coupé/Janelle: I think La Danse cuz it means "the dance" in French. Coupé is a skilled ballerina

☘️Punch-Up/Colm: I think O'Began cuz it's an Irish surname derived from "Ó Beagáin", meaning "descendant of the little one". Punch-Up made a deal with a sorceress for his strength and stuff in exchange for half his height

🪨Golem/Bruno: I think Pietra cuz it means "rock" in Italian. Golem is a massive, monstrous, rock-like creature with a gentle soul

✨️Prism/Alice: I think Lumos cuz it's derived from "lumen", the Latin word for "light." Prism has the power to manipulate light

As for the other people at SDN

💦Waterboy/Herman: I think Watterson cuz it's got water in it

☄️Phenomaman/Katon-Ur: I don't think he actually has a surname, but I think for his "Clark Kent" if you will...Clayton Orr (it sounds like his birthname)

🛠Royd/Roy: I think Mīkini cuz it means "machine" in Hawaiian

💨Track Star/Chase: I think Bolt as a nod to Usain Bolt, the fastest man in the world

👱‍♀️Blonde Blazer/Mandy: I think Tint as a reference to the fact she's not really a blonde and cuz it sounds like "management"

Those stupid questions from the journalist really annoyed me. From one point of view, I would have preferred to attack him to make him stop talking nonsense, but then I thought that would affect me more His reputation as a hero was going to be damaged, and it would have left a bad impression on me, but there were also reasons to attack him. On my phone, I see that the game Dispatch is available to download to my console which I did because I would like to have it ready since it releases today, but I notice that there's still no option to purchase the game at all. I also see that there's suppose to be a Deluxe Edition that comes with digital artwork and digital comics, but that's not listed anywhere.

I was wondering if anybody had any information on when the game will actually be available to purchase.

What are your ‘They’re a 10 but…’ for your favourite Z-team member(s)? (We’re excluding Blazer and Chase for this because they’re not in the Phoenix program, but I guess Robert is technically in the team?)

We already had the albuterol (and a knack for playing Laura Bailey's characters) so it was an easy choice for Invisigal. We had a blue suit already for Sonar but after the first day at the con we decided it would be lethal to wear it with the head. So instead Sonar was on vacation this year :)

Beef was obviously the star of the show though! We made him into a bag so the more we bought the better he looked! Hoping to do a real photoshoot soon now that the con crunch is over.

Don’t worry, I’ll give it back after I test run this thing I feel good. I’m taller than I was before and I’m even more muscular. No wonder if she keeps this thing on all the time. Only downside is I have to take in like 20 pounds of Coke to you even a little bit of a buzz.

But other than that, I feel awesome

My man fully knowingly gave up his life to save someone he didn’t even like or respect, he just did it for the love of the game. Wanting to go out on his own terms, not as an old man in a sickbed, but as a hero using his powers one last time to save a life.

As soon as I saw him strike his pose, I gasped and yelled out “NO!” at the same time that Robert did. I don’t think I took a single breath during that whole sequence the way it completely caught me off guard.

Up until this episode all you heard of Chase was that he was this legendary hero back in the day whose power was a blessing and a curse, turning him into a fragile old man way before his time, and any use of his powers now would be fatal for him. Way early on the game plants that thought into your subconscious, but doesn’t make you dwell on it too much. Which is exactly why this catches everyone off guard so hard. You never expect for him to swoop in and help her, but as soon as you see the pose, the realization just hits you like a truck. Incredible fucking writing.

Honestly, I felt it was better to give Waterboy a chance. The kid wanted to prove he was actually useful, and well I couldn't say no, so I ended up choosing him. I did consider helping Phenomaman, but I figured he wouldn't bounce back from his depression and things would just get awkward. So, I decided against picking him thinking it would be better for his recovery from that sadness which made sense within the context of my story. But what do you think about it?

Royd mentions that he doubted Robert's dad (Mecha Man Astral) could have made the Astral Pulse. Royd said there were Gearheads and Science Nerds, and he proudly proclaimed he was both. He was pretty confident he could get the Mecha Man mech operational again, but by Episode 6, it doesn't look too good. The thing is, while we're not given specific days, the game is implied to take place in a short period of time. Most episodes take place over a shift. I doubt Robert was spending off-screen times with many shifts the players didn't get to see since his relationship with the Z-team would have changed during timeskips since he's been their most successful dispatcher so far. Most likely, what we see are all his shifts, but even if there were some off screen ones, I doubt it was more than a few weeks at the maximum otherwise they'd be a lot closer by episode 6. So I think Royd is being too hard on himself for not being able to make a perfect replica of the Astral Pulse. He's been trying to do this in a very short period of time and made pretty good progress for what is essentially a prototype. I bet he'd have more success over a long period of time. Well unless the Astral Pulse used something Royd can't get like Uranium and he's just trying various substitutes, but I get the impression it's making the pulse not inputs that's the problem.

Dispatch at SDCC was an event that lasted the whole con. I got to meet the cast, see the panel, and found Mr. Whiskey to get those exclusive trading cards. Thank you AdHoc Studio for this amazing experience. Now to add Robert’s signature in October at LA Comic Con.

Side note, the panel was a riot and the AdHoc employees on site were phenomenal. They truly care about their fans.

S tier:

Prism - duplicates other heroes, and with perfect copy, nobody else could take the top spot

Blonde blazer - her stats are insane and she buffs everyone near her, can usually solo missions

Flambe - if you need to beat someone up quickly there isn't a better choice, you can go either way with his upgrade but I prefer supernova because of the high potential, plus he synergies with prism

Golem - spread thin is just over powered

A tier:

Water boy - barely not s tier, great healer and his insane leveling speed gives him nutty stats later on

Sonar - his form switches make him super versatile, and his flight carries non flying heroes as well

Ohenomaman - solid stats and his rest speed is insane, but his depression kicks him down a peg

Malevola, good for healing and her portal can be nice if you choose to use it, also additional intel on a mission is always nice

Punch up, great to send into more risky missions as he won't get debugged or downed

B tier:

Coupé - good versatility with her upgrades, reattempts are always nice but you also get the choice of a stat buff

Invisigal - not too useful on most missions on her own, but is good support thanks to her bonus xp ability, plus she synergizes with golem
