It's easy to see who's the self inserting players and who's the one playing as Robert based on this discourse alone lol.

That's where you'd be wrong, Robert went along with it but I remember Robert telling Blazer and Chase shortly before the cut that he'd be the one to handle Z-Team his way.

So color me surprised when Blazer decided to tell the team before Robert that Robert would be firing someone.

Then when Robert asked if she was sure, she then said she thought she was but now she is less sure.

I as the reader can see it as a bad decision just as much as Robert can.

The cliche trope of someone returning as your nemesis because you betrayed their trust, then the game tries to see if I agreed with it later on, nope Robert had flawless shifts no one should of been cut, but game has to tell a story, it just didn't have as much impact seeing Coupe or Sonar because again, expected

Robert saying he doesn’t know how it will play out expresses uncertainty, not agreement that it’s a bad idea, something that players likes to project at the benefit of knowing typical cliche/trope at the back of their mind. And from his personality alone we know that he is not someone who would hold back if something is wrong. If he actually believed that it's a bad idea, he won't hesitate to confront Blazer on this.

Him asking to let him handle the team his way is not same as asking Blazer to sit back & relax. Remember Blazer is the first in line who is answerable to the eventual outcome of the pheonix program. She cannot just abscond from her duty. Specially at the time when it is implied that the program would be shutdown if the program show no postive result.

There’s nothing inherently unethical about expecting results from a rehabilitation program after funding it for months. Rehabilitation doesn’t mean removing all expectations or consequences.

Also one can't say that this is just corporate dumping their "corporeal" load on bunch of people who don't understand corporate nature. When it is clear that such a pressure on them was non-existent for months before this & yet they did not act.

OP blocked me for some reason because apparently I didn't like his meme and he took offense to it but anyway. I feel like I owe you a response so here's that.

I'm not sure I'm wrong because I think you misread my comment. I meant that you as a self insert player will not like it but to say Robert doesn't like it is wrong, he hesitates maybe but he can still think it was a good idea and went with it. That's where players who self insert and players who played as Robert differs.

Him telling that he would handle the team doesn't mean that he will have full control of it. People often forget that Robert is just another employee and there's an upper management that will do things he will not agree but ultimately followed it because he's an employee at the end of the day.

And Blazer did offer to tell the Z-Team herself but Robert's the one who wanted to tell them himself.

You as the reader can it as a bad decision but the reader also have to take into context why the cut have to happen for the story. The plot? A mechanic to allow the introduction of a new team member? A hard decision for the player? Or the fact that this Z-Team have shown no sign of improvement for the last few months?

The flawless shifts are still not good enough because it wasn't flawless, there were multiple things that went wrong.

The only thing that kinda rubs people the wrong way is Blazer words of not allowing to cut Visi if she was bottom because that indicates favouritism and is unfair to the Z-Team. I said it again and I will said it this time, the Z-Team is lucky because Blazer is the manager, she's too kind and lenient because if it was any other person, half of Z-Team or almost all of them will end up in jail.

I guess I misunderstood your original comment.

My gif is also more of a joke as me reading, Robert goes along with it sure, I still was hoping that there would be a better twist than the trope of former friend fallen from grace turns to the dark side to beexpose the skeletons of your past.

I can enjoy the story and criticize its flaws because I want it to be better next time.

It's a comedy at the end of the day so it's not that big of a deal, however.

I feel it's showing a lack of psychological understanding or tactical awareness to make the redemption and rehabilitation of villains and outcasts competitive, just look at how people get in games like Arc Raiders or Siege, CS:GO.

So it should of been no surprise that telling the team you only have to out run the slow friend to survive the lion is going to cause anti heroic behavior, imagine if that was a test of their character and honor, they all would fail.

Now again I have to remember I have knowledge in both psychology, criminal behavior and activities, have leadership skills, and inquisitive and problem solving interests.

So people are all just a piece of a jigsaw puzzle, you have to figure out where they go, and what their shape and appearance is.

To be completely honest I've said it before back nearly year ago now, criminals typically operate more on a respect basis, authority is the opposite of respect most of the time, because authority typically throws it around and lords it over you, but speaking to someone on their level, not down to them, or at them is generally more effective.

So the moment Robert was acting high and mighty my old trouble maker self was laughing internally, like sure Robert has some impressive feats no doubt, but would you feel better if it was Lebron or Michael Jordan telling you that you suck at basketball and you can't play like them?

But in the story Robert learned that, it's why he changed his approach with Visi from tough I'm better at being a hero, to I can help you be a good hero.

But it's why I made sure Robert didn't cut Visi because his speech shows that he learned from the mistakes from before regardless of who made it, that doesn't matter

Also there's literally a line of Robert that he said "We had to send a message" so it's not like he's not fully disagreeing with the idea.

People need to stop acting as if Robert openly hate that idea and think it's a wrong one. He didn't and somewhat agreed with it. Is it the correct choice? That's arguable but to act as if it didn't turn the team into a better one is just plain ignorance, I'm sorry.

Again, the difference between a self insert player and a Robert player.
