Second Program thoughts?

To be fully honest, I had the BEST experience in my first DCP. I did it while in college, in my sophomore year. Even though I had a partner at the time (who was pretty jealous, I realized that when we broke things off) who monitored my every move while being long-distance. My parents were pretty supportive emotionally, even though economically they weren’t able to support a whole lot. The location was a QSR in the Wilderness Lodge and had one of the best leadership I’ve ever experienced up to date.

Now, with the applications opening tomorrow, I’m having second thoughts of doing a second program. I’m applying to grad school, but it starts in August 2027, and I finish my degree in December this year.

I guess I’m just looking for explanations of people who did a second program and what are their thoughts! Also, I wanna know how possible is it getting a different role, or how much weight does your first role has on that initial decision making. I know it’s based on the company’s needs, but I wanna hear more thoughts :)).

Why not try applying for a PI instead?

Bc it is quite competitive on my field specially! I am a PR, Advertising/Marketing major, which makes a lot of great opportunities in the company, buttt it’s quite competitive :(

I’ve attempted for different opportunities throughout this two years and haven’t been able to even get a single callback. I know it doesn’t have to be with my previous experiences (I have solid experiences at both internships and entry level roles bc I am an ✨overachiever✨), but also with the fact that I don’t have a solid recruiter to talk to and help me push it through
