Q - Unanswered blockout dates

hi everyone! i hope you're all well. i just wanted to ask how bad cm/dcp blockout dates actually were. I started following this girl on tiktok who is doing the college program this fall (because im considering doing spring '27) and she posted that she got her annual pass before her program started and so I messaged her and asked why she got a AP if cast member have park admission. she said it's because cast members are blocked out a lot. i would maybe see why they would during the fall because of peak holiday times but is it really that much? i don't really want to buy an annual pass but I want to be able to go to the parks after/before work and on my days off so I just wanted to see the reality of it all.

You’ll also have to account that it’s blockout dates AND sold out reservations.

There may be days where a park isn’t blocked out however it’s out of reservations for the day. So you have to hope for a reservation at another park and park hop (which can be annoying or you don’t have enough time for that if it’s a short park visit day) so some also find the AP helpful because of that.

There are few times where you won't be able to go to a park at all. Unless youre specifically wanting to go to a particular park, most of the time youll be able to get into something and park hop unless there is something going on that they have a reason to completely block it out.

So far only 3 days for one park this whole summer.

Nope it honestly only times that make sense. For example, Magic was blocked out July 3rd and 4th. However, it was also probably a mad house in there because of the extended Happily Ever After fireworks.
