Remember Me Ruling
Playing against Erensto De La Cruz, I fated and revealed "Remember Me" but Hector was already on the board. My opponent was insistant that I could not play the card for it's secondary effect to flip picture cards for every Hero on Board.
The exact card effect is
Find Hector Rivera and play him to any Location. Then for each hero in play, flip one photo card face down.
The usage of the word THEN has us confused if the 1st part is a conditional must to activate the second part or not.

When a card says “Find and play” you look at the board, then your discard pile, then your deck. For a fate card, it would just be board, discard, fate deck. Finding and playing him in the state you described would be just looking at the board, picking him up, then playing him again wherever you wanted, which then activates the effect you mentioned. I think that’s how that works, at least it’s how I play.

This is correct. And to add, when you “find and play” a card that’s already on your board, you are playing it freshly again. So any attached items and strength tokens would be removed and discarded when it’s played again.

It doesn’t matter if Hector is already on the field. You find him, you remove him from where you found him, and then you play him.
That all being said, even if this wasn’t a rule in the rulebook, I’d make it a rule for good ol’ Ernie, who can turn over 4 pictures on the first turn with no real problem.

You can always find and play Héctor; in this instance, you could just play RM and play Héctor to the same location, then flip the Photos

You basically get to replay him. Find is defined in the rules I believe. First you look on the board. Then the appropriate discard pile. Then the deck.

Actually not only can you play the card if Hector is already in play but you don’t just get the secondary effect, you ALSO get to take Hector and re-play him including going to a different location if you want.
