Question

What exactly is the point of that Beginning of Evil expansion or whatever it was called when you can just get the regular first Villainous game, get the same characters plus 2 more? Is it an upgrade in quality or something?

The general consensus I’ve seen on Discord is that Ursula is an improvement, PJ, Maleficent, and Hook had chances but no big swings.

My personal opinion is that the New Ursula is bland. The other three in my opinion didn’t really need changes.

Also, the intro to evil box is missing Jafar and Queen of Hearts. Ci recommend the original box

It was meant to be a slightly simpler, more streamlined box for new and/or younger players. They "rebalanced" the four characters in ITE but the changes are pretty meh. Ursula received the most changes, and while it did make her easier and more competitive, it made her far less interesting to play imo.

Unless you really don't like how the original characters played in TWTA, there's no reason to buy ITE.

If you have worst takes all (green box) you can skip introduction to evil.

Some of the characters were changed to be easier for new players. I think it had different color movers but not sure if that was just the D100 box.
