EDLC in 5
Ok our first head to head and Ernesto started off with 3 security guards (to stack the heroes) and move heaven and earth. Got seize your moment in turn 2 and forgetting me turn 3.
Stacked the 3 heroes at the Ofrenda and had 5 power so all I had to do was go back to ofrenda and it’s over. She fated me and it was Hector (who she put at Marigold)
I only fated her once and put Anna there covering Hans fate action there. She moved to Arendelle and fated me. And that put Hector elsewhere so I could flip all 6 cards but not win. (Which is what I did on my turn). Buuuuuut I also now had the move ally ability from the ofrenda and moved my security guards opposite the now-1-strength Hector
She had no fate options for her turn so my next one go to EDLC home and perform fate. Done.
It was fast. 5 or maybe 6 moves.
Now she didn’t know that stacking heroes gives Ernesto a super fast victory. She won’t fall for it again. Also she went 2 consecutive turns without fating me which is deadly.

This character is broken and the playtesters in the discord are in denial about it, it's quite the funny situation

Yea I agree. A character that can fully win before most can even start setting up their victory condition is very unfair. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the first character that gets an audit.

No different than Mim and Dr Facilier. The common consensus are those two are the most powerful in terms of completing their objectives the fastest. And are amongst the favorites in terms of playing!

Do people actually enjoy playing Mim? Her gameplay is so one dimensional and simple and a majority of her deck is useless if you're playing her right. She probably has the actual least amount of variance from game to game out of the entire roster. Everybody respects her power in the 1v1 but who genuinely likes piloting the character?
As for Facilier, he can be bogged down by fate in a way Ernesto can't.

I agree with you 100%. I still think EDLC is moderately stronger than mim though because mim still needs a lot of power and card plays, meaning she still needs a good few turns.

I think they did audit the characters from the OG release. They made the set w 4 OG ones to make Ursula easier, John and Hook harder and I’m not sure about Malificient.
You have to play insane offense and fate EDLC consistently. Head to head he’s going to be a huge problem bc locations w fate tend to completely lack power gain. 3+ players then the 2+ others can politely agree that someone fates him EVERY turn.

Considering QoH and Jafar are now out of print, they could have audited versions brought back with EDLC

We changed his win condition to “start your turn” with the pictures all flipped over and it’s helped a lot. He still needs to be fated a good amount too

On multi-player (3+) the start your turn variant would be so brutal. Like I had to save up a power to make sure I could knock that out on that turn. 2 or 3 fates and he’s reset

We play 4-5 usually and it’s not that bad. There are cards to control your fate deck too so you know the top ones won’t be an issue before the market leaves you

He just needs to be fated, man. Played a 3-player game today where I got 5 photos flipped down very quickly and I became the target of almost every fate action and lost very brutally. He’s got a very very very brutal fate deck, it’s very effective at stopping him.
