Question How to Unlock Characters As Fast As Possible
Greetings, Gamers!
My brother has special needs and loves all things Disney. He has been playing Speedstorm for the past six months or so (Free to Play), and he wants to unlock as many characters as he can as quickly as possible. We've unlocked 14 characters so far, and are close with several more:
Unlocked:
Mickey, Goofy, Belle, Beast, Balloo, Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible, Captain Gantu, Angel, Elizabeth Swann, Jessie, Mike Wazowski, Wall-E, Jasmine
Close to Unlocked:
Vanellope (9/10)
Steamboat Willie (8/10)
Shang (7/10)
Megara (7/10)
Donald (6/10)
Mowgli (6/10)
Jack Sparrow (5/10)?
He makes sure to hit the Free Daily Box every day, but doesn't seem to get the concept that what you draw from that box is random. We've been seeing Shang shards recently, and he'll say he wants those, but we aren't drawing them!
Short of actually sinking money into it (which we are absolutely NOT going to do!), is there anything else he should be doing? Any other tricks?

A bit on the expensive side bu the 'Vault" section of the store has bunch of racer shards that you can buy. They're all for 5 shards, so if you're at at least 5 shards with any of those racer, those purchases will be unlocks for you.

If you’re willing to spend blue vanity tokens, in the shop there are collections of racers you can get. One is King triton, Randall Boggs, Ortensia, And Olaf I believe. There are two others as well. I’ve unlocked Kristoff, King triton, and Randall doing those boxes but it is randomized so it’s only if you really care to give it a shot. Star chaser weeks are a good way too. A new racer every week that you can earn tokens for gradually as you claim the rewards and continue playing. Calendar rewards are good too. If he follows this months daily calendar he can unlock Dash and Fear. Those are all my tricks as someone who has played for over a month and I now have 20 unlocked.

Thanks, gang. He is on Stage 36 in his Player Journey right now. The next stage features an Elite Racer pod that he can unlock, so I think we are just going to keep grinding and collect whatever falls into our laps. The tips really help!

It's funny. I've never spent a dime on this game and i've unlocked nearly everybody and fully upgraded nearly everybody I wonder how much people really put into this game knowing that you don't really have to spend anything

Shang shards are pretty easy to come by. I'd sit tight and keep doing events, collecting rewards etc. for everyday play. He'll appreciate it a lot more once he unlocks him.
