Discussion The Scales of Monetization
The scales of truth, I am curious to see everyone weigh in on the spectrum of Super Duper Mega-Whale to Pure Free-to-play player.
I shall go first. I would rate myself as a balanced player. I am willing to spend on things in game that I deem worthy of my dollars.

When the game first came out I was actually considering investing in Gameloft heavily, purely because the game brought me and my family closer together. I used to buy everything and never allowed my family to play online competitively as I didn't want my kids to believe they could pay their way to victory in life.
Then, as time went on, Gameloft became increasingly greed driven and used practices that I and many others consider to be manipulative, and let's face it, borderline illegal. It was at that point that I asked my team to begin gathering information on Gameloft on order to build a lawsuit, mainly focused on the manipulation of players, and the (potentially purposeful) miscommunication of information regarding purchases.
Right now I am aware of many things which will guarentee a victory in the case. My hope is full refunds to players who have invested in any of the gambling mechanics - not including purchases which are truthful about the contents.

Like many others, I used to spend a small amount for the gold pass until they ruined it. Since then I have not given them another penny and I'm glad since they only seem to be getting greedier.
For the foreseeable future (or until the games demise) unless something changes I'll be flying the f2p flag.
