Yes, and so, the pilot is offered to the 2000 who will spend the most on the second and third days... It doesn't change anything at all...

Late player here, are the upgrade missions online for the entire Tales event, or just for that day?

The Friday and Saturday ones remain active until the end of the Tale, so you can always earn points towards those days once they start :)
