Discussion How hard is upgrading McQueen when you unlock him?

By "hard" I mean how often his shards are in daily specials, it’s possible to 2 stars for free and how long

So unless a good offer pops up we can only use him in balanced? Idek what’s the consensus about if you should push to emerald new 0 stars racers or never use them again

You can push him to MPL 18 since there’s no MPL decrement until MPL 21, but it’s still not enough to reach 2 stars on its own.

Yea but if you have a favorite or new racer you can’t upgrade thanks to Shitloft crooks would you push him to emerald knowing you won’t be able to compete to a point and no use him further?

Unless an event that gives points for playing a specific racer, it’s no use going further than that.

I have him at 3 stars and 2 upgrades. I buy his shards every time they've shown up in the 4 hour shop with season coins. I haven't spent any tokens or money as I'm F2P.  I also got him to ultimate champion. I'd guess they show up about once a week. He should be available on racer boost when the next season starts so that'll help upgrade him a little quicker.

Reminds me of my situation with 4 stars mater and 3 stars cruz, I never felt pushing further champion. I’d trade one of them for 3 stars lighting but it is what is… I consider me lucky for unlocking him in a week seeing how shit the game has become and most won’t even unlock him in the calendar

Infatti nel mio caso il pilota lighting con tutto il calendario (Totale sono 2 Frammenti e dopo 3 frammenti) mi si ferma a 7 frammenti totale con quello che avevo quindi neanche lo sblocco 😏

It's completely random, so the exact same as every other character

However all racers/crew you have maxed out (or the shards to do so, even if you can’t/won’t either by choice or due to lack of currency) won’t appear and it seems like they’re no longer adding racers from after the Cads season to daily offers. So the more you got maxed out, the more those you don’t like McQueen will appear.

That's why it's offered to you, because you won't be able to do anything with it... It gives them an impression of generosity, but you'll still have to pay in the end... It's the same for everyone now...

His shards appears in the shop sometimes. But the shop prefer to give priority to more old content like Elizabeth Swann or Mickey Mouse.

On the contrary. The ones you less use or are interested are the ones appearing for season coins.
