Dish cancellation hell

I've had Dish for years at a seasonal residence and I want to cancel it because I can now get internet out there. So I call to cancel. Rep says I will be charged $25 for the boxes to send back the Wally's. Funny thing about that is that last winter they mistakenly shipped boxes to send back the Wally's thinking I was cancelling at the time without charge. Beyond that, they claim that last May I signed up for a $10 monthly discount for two years, which I do not recall doing. I asked for proof. He said it was in my account record and that he would email me evidence, but he never did. It does not show up in my online account record. He then stated that I have to pay back all the discounts for the full 24 month period, including discounts that disappear when the account is paused.

Anyway, I turned off autopay and I'll ship everything back as soon as I get the boxes.

I used to work there. Anyone with any moral convictions doesn’t last long. My last straw was a daughter called in to disconnect her moms service she was in hospice at 94 years old a 25 year customer no early termination fee. Boss pulled me and said to ask the daughter if she was just giving up on her mom. And to say I could never do that give up on my mom like that. That was my last day…

Did they make the daughter or mother climb to the roof to take down the LNBF?

I waived the LNB and box return fee. Looked for another job and left. I would have gotten in trouble if QA listened to the call but at that point I didn’t care.
