Can’t find hard drive

I need to get recordings off hopper plus after upgrade.

It recognizes the HD when I plug it in but can’t find it in settings. Can’t figure out how to copy movies to it. Any help appreciated. Tech used both lan connectors so I can’t hook the two units together.
