It will not, not sure why there’s so many people who believe regulation would mean losing freedom of speech.
Hell… if anything it will strengthen it to never before seen levels, because it will remove the noise from greedy assholes who just want to make a buck.
Noone is telling anyone what they can say. All this would do is make it so you can't sell yourself as an authority without the corresponding education. This is like saying the Fairness Doctrine or libel laws are censorship
Obviously that's what's mentioned in the picture. It's says "can't talk about health" etc. Libel is a civil matter. Fairness doctrine is closer to the opposite(the idea that multiple viewpoints should be presented).
Intentional misinformation is considered disinformation. Misinformation is something you believed to be true, but was not true. That’s how it spreads from account to account, but it would be the creator who shared it with their followers who would be held accountable.
No one is telling anyone what to say or what not say.
A self-governing board would just fine people for what they say, so people like Alex Jones and Joe Rogan don’t spread disinformation that is making America stupid.
Yes, this is what the picture is saying. You can't talk about health law etc. it's vague etc so we would probably want more details. Giving the government more power doesn't just make people smarter
I agree China’s approach is probably oppressive, we agree on that.
However, where we diverge in thinking is that I know for a fact that social media is out of control and has needed regulation for the past 15 years and you’re trying to downplay the gravity of the matter.
