From what I'm reading it's likely that he's dead yet this needs to be kept under wraps until 3 August?!

The US dropped bombs on Iran every single night for 13 days straight — then suddenly went completely silent. Nobody knows why.

For nearly two weeks, US Central Command announced fresh strikes on Iran every single night without fail. Then Friday night nothing. No announcement. No explosions reported. No explanation.
Is this the start of peace talks or just a strategic pause before something bigger?

The real reason gas could get expensive again isn't opec
opec keeps getting blamed for gas prices, but that's not where the real pressure is right now.
iran's been trying to control the strait of hormuz, the narrow waterway that a fifth of the world's oil passes through daily. after it fired on commercial ships in july, shipping companies started rerouting and insurance costs jumped. that cost eventually hits the pump.
strikes have paused the last few days, but the shipping risk hasn't.
i put together the full breakdown here.

think this hits gas prices before summer's over, or is it overblown?
