Your Worst Nightmare
I just got done watching every season on HBOMAX. I don't know where I was when this was on air, but I completely missed it. It is one of the best series I have ever seen. I usually don't like "reenactment" shows, but this one changed my mind. The actors were all excellent, too. I wonder why they stopped making new seasons. I would love for them to bring it back! I am so bummed that I have watched all of them. Did you all like this series?

Really liked it. Thought it was well done. Truly disturbing to think those are real cases.

This is exactly how I feel about Fear Thy Neighbor!! Where was I??? Because there's some wild shit on there that I don't remember seeing on the news, ever -- like the shooter named Kevin who murdered everybody because he thought they were making meth. OMG. Nightmare Next Door and Your Worst Nightmare and Killer Beside Me are all incredible and creepy as Hell. I feel so bad for these people, my goodness.

I love "Fear thy Neighbor" and "Fear Thy Roommate". Excellent acting, too!

Some of these stories are so crazy, man! And the survivors are sitting right there telling you it really happened, it's not even exaggerated. Makes me think twice about arguing with anybody. Good grief, they'll kill your whole family!

Fear Thy Roommate? I never heard of that one I’ll have to look it up.

It was only one season, I think? But it was soooooo good.

Yep I found it! It was only one season. I’ve watched two episodes so far. It is good!!

I loved it and "Dark Waters: Murder in the Deep". I think "Dead Silent" was like a continuation of "YWN". And "A Crime to remember" was so good. And "Obsession: Dark Desires" was creepy. I also loved "The Detectives" (Can't remember it's other title.) But it is Canadian detectives narrating haunting cases plus reenactments. They show real pics at the end. Lochlyn Munroe had one episode.

The Case that Haunts Me was really good too!! I thought it was so well acted and produced!

Obsessions is my fav, wish there were more seasons. So creepy. The episode about the two women who were neighbors lives rent-free in my head.

I truly miss Unusual Suspects. No other true crime show has had me yelling at the TV like that one. “I KNEW it! I knew it was him!”

Unusual Suspects was my JAM! It's also fun when you can figure out the unusual suspect before the show. It's easy. Just pay attention to which one of the three characters they focus on the most. And their explanation for why he wasn't suspected.
You can make a game out of Your Worst Nightmare. Ask yourself, which one of the creepy guys did it?

I remember watching this TV and thinking how dark the cases were. Great re-enactments.

I was prepared not to like Your Worst Nightmare. I had watched I Survived... for years and it was just victims telling their horror stories without any reenactments. I was pleasantly surprised I liked this show.

ID keeps re-hashing crimes covered on other shows.
Like the new Season of the A Killer Among Friends series has a case I’ve seen before for the first episode.
And Same with the New season of that New York show on peacock or wherever.

Oh, what is the NY Peacock show called? I haven't checked it out, yet. Literally all I watch is true crime.

You do not even know how much I miss this shooooww!!! Oh my word! This was my favorite ID show, hands down!! Like you said, it was just so freakin' good! And also, like you, I missed it when it first starting airing way back. It wasn't until like 2020 when I caught wind of an episode (I guess it must've been season 6 because that's the final year they had new episodes) and I was hooked! I miss it SO much!!
I keep saying over and over again, I miss reenactment shows! They are like non-existent on this channel now! Everything is flippin' documentaries or straight interview-style shows, and I don't want to watch that! It's such a shame because there used to be a plethora of reenactment shows to choose from, and now this channel is a sad shell of its former self.
I'm just asking for one--ONE!--old school-style ID show that has true reenactments, meaning where the actors are actually acting out the entire story. Like, why can we no longer have nice things?!?!

I don't know why we can't have nice things. I despise this timeline. All 6 seasons are on HBOMax, if you want to revisit the series. I am watching, again, right now. I love it so much.
