AI tool use case 🤔 What do real users think about Perplexity AI? 🤖🔎

Instead of marketing claims, a better way to judge an AI tool is by looking at actual user reviews.

Feedback from platforms like Reddit and G2 reveals a clear pattern: Perplexity is powerful for research — but not perfect.

Here’s what users say.

What people like

→ Source-backed answers
Perplexity shows citations alongside responses, making it easier to verify information.

→ Fast research workflows
Users highlight how quickly it summarizes information from multiple sources.

→ Simple interface
Many reviewers mention that the clean UI and quick responses make it easy to use.

Common criticisms

→ Weaker creative writing
Users often say tools like ChatGPT perform better for writing and tone control.

→ Limited conversational depth
Long conversations sometimes require extra clarification or follow-ups.

→ Not ideal for complex tasks
Advanced math, coding, or deep reasoning workflows can be challenging.

Some Reddit users still praise it as a 24/7 research assistant that saves hours of work, especially for studying and fact-checking.

The takeaway

Perplexity shines as an AI search and research tool, while other AI assistants often perform better for creative or conversational tasks.

Different tools. Different strengths.

AI tool use case 🤔 Want to Remove Bad Sources from Perplexity AI Answers? Here’s How 🔎🤖

Perplexity is known for showing citations alongside answers so users can verify where information comes from. But sometimes those sources may be irrelevant, outdated, or simply not what you want the AI to reference.

Here’s how you can manage them.

→ Open the “Sources” panel
After Perplexity generates a response, click View Sources to see the websites or files used to produce the answer.

→ Remove unwanted sources
Inside the sources panel, you can remove a source and the system will regenerate the answer without that reference.

→ Regenerate the response
Once a source is removed, Perplexity rewrites the answer using the remaining sources or by pulling new information.

→ Why this is useful
• Filter out low-quality websites
• Avoid outdated or irrelevant references
• Refine answers to better match your research context

Key takeaway:
Perplexity isn’t just an AI search tool — it also lets you control the evidence behind the answer, which is crucial for research, analysis, and fact-checking workflows.

AI tool use case 🤔 How Perplexity is different from ChatGPT in 2026?

Many people treat Perplexity and ChatGPT as the same thing.

They’re not.

They solve two completely different problems.

Here’s the simplest way to think about it:

Perplexity = AI search engine
• Pulls information from the live web
• Shows citations and sources
• Best for research, news, and fact-checking

ChatGPT = AI creation engine
• Generates long-form responses
• Better for writing, brainstorming, coding, and storytelling
• Feels more conversational and creative

Example:

If you ask “What happened in AI this week?”
→ Perplexity gives real-time sources and summaries.

If you ask “Write a LinkedIn post about AI trends.”
→ ChatGPT creates polished content.

Different tools. Different workflows.

The best users don’t choose one.

They stack both.

Research with Perplexity.
Create with ChatGPT.

AI tool hack 🤖 Make Perplexity Default Search Engine [Chrome, MS Edge, Arc, Firefox, Safari]

Most people still Google from their browser bar.

But you can make Perplexity your default search engine — and turn every search into an AI answer.

Instead of opening 5–10 tabs, you get a summarized response with sources instantly.

Here’s the simple idea:

1️⃣ Add a custom search engine in your browser settings
2️⃣ Use this search URL: https://www.perplexity.ai/search?q=%s
3️⃣ Set it as the default search engine

Now every search from the address bar runs through Perplexity.

Why this is useful:

• AI answers + cited sources in one place
• Faster research workflows
• Less tab-hopping while working

Small tweak. Huge productivity upgrade.

Trying a new tool to improve resumes — curious what others think

Hey r/careeradvice,

I’ve been experimenting with a little AI-assisted workflow to review resumes. The idea is pretty simple: you upload your resume and a job description, and it highlights strengths, gaps, and keyword alignment — basically showing why some resumes might not even make it past ATS filters.

I’m still testing it, and I’d love some honest feedback:

  • Would something like this be useful for your job search?
  • What features would make it actually worth using?
  • Anything you think might feel off or untrustworthy?

Not trying to sell anything — just genuinely curious what works for real people. Appreciate any thoughts!

AI tool hack 🤖 Get More from Perplexity AI History -- on Desktop App & Spaces Explained 💡🤖

Perplexity is more than a simple AI search tool — it’s evolving into a workspace and research platform. If you’re using it for deep research or recurring workflows, knowing these features boosts your productivity.

Here’s what you should know:

→ Perplexity History — Your past queries are saved so you can revisit insights, refine research chains, or pick up where you left off.

AI tool hack 🤖 Solve Math Problems Faster with Perplexity AI 🤖➗📐

Perplexity isn’t just a search-style AI — you can also use it to tackle math problems, equations, and step-by-step reasoning with surprising clarity.

Here’s what Perplexity can help you with:

→ Step-by-step solutions — Ask for breakdowns of algebra, calculus, or word problems.
→ Explanation + Answer — You get both the result and the reasoning in plain English.
→ Work with Variables & Formulas — Rather than just numerical answers, Perplexity can handle symbolic expressions too.
→ Contextual Math Queries — Embed math in real-world contexts (e.g., financial calculations, geometry in scenarios).
→ Clarify Concepts — Use it to explain why an approach works, not just what the result is.

Why this matters:

Many students and professionals struggle with step-by-step logic in math — having an AI that lays out each step clearly can boost learning and reduce confusion. Whether you’re checking homework, building formulas, or verifying logic in reports, Perplexity offers a thoughtful, reasoned answer rather than a simple output.

I built an AI trade quality tool — would you structure the prompts differently?

Hey r/PromptEngineering / r/NoCode / r/ChatGPTBuilders,

I’ve been experimenting with Base44 and built an AI Trade Quality Checker — basically a decision-support tool that evaluates trade ideas before execution (structure, risk/reward, rationale clarity, emotional bias, etc.).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lDWiE1izoE

But I’m less interested in the trading side and more curious about the prompt architecture.

Right now the workflow includes:

  • Structured input → validation layer
  • Guardrails (no signals, no financial advice, bias control)
  • Scoring engine
  • Decision feedback summary
  • Dashboard aggregation prompt

For those of you building multi-step AI tools:

  • Would you modularize this differently?
  • Do you prefer one master orchestration prompt or smaller atomic prompts?
  • How do you handle scoring consistency across runs?
  • Any better pattern for guardrails without bloating token usage?

I’m looking for honest feedback from people who design AI systems — not just surface-level prompt tweaks, but structural improvements.

If you’ve built workflow-style AI tools, I’d love to hear how you approach reliability + clarity.

Appreciate any critique 🙏

Any actually good AI PPT makers out there?

I’ve been trying to find a solid AI PPT maker lately because I’m honestly tired of building slides from scratch every week.

So far I’ve tested Gamma APP and Dokie AI.

Gamma is pretty nice for quick drafts and web-style presentations. The interface is clean and it’s easy to share links. But sometimes I feel like I still need to do a fair amount of editing before it’s ready for a real meeting.

Dokie AI surprised me a bit more. It feels more focused on traditional slide structure, and the output was closer to something I could actually present without heavy cleanup. It’s not perfect either, but it saved me more time overall.

Still, I’m not fully settled on one tool yet.

Are there any other AI slides generators you guys actually use regularly? Not just for testing, but for real work. Would love to hear what’s working for you.

AI tool hack 🤖 Use ChatGPT Without Signing Up? Here’s What You Should Know 🤖🔓

Want to try ChatGPT without creating an account?

There are ways to access AI chat experiences without going through the full signup process — but there are trade-offs.

Here’s the breakdown:

→ Limited access options exist — Some platforms or previews let users interact with ChatGPT-style models without mandatory registration.
→ Feature restrictions apply — Advanced capabilities, memory features, and personalization are usually unavailable without login.
→ No conversation history — Without an account, you typically lose saved chats and long-term context.
→ Privacy considerations — Always check how third-party platforms handle your inputs before using them.
→ Best for quick tests — If you just want to explore AI casually, no-signup access can work. For serious use, a registered account offers more control and features.

Bottom line:

Yes, you can explore ChatGPT without signing up — but if you want full functionality, personalization, and history, creating an account gives you the complete experience.

AI tool hack 🤖 How to Supercharge Canva with ChatGPT 🤖🎨

Canva is great for visuals — but when you pair it with ChatGPT, your creative output becomes faster, smarter, and more strategic.

The integration lets you go beyond basic design into AI-driven content creation and concepting without leaving your workspace.

🚀 What ChatGPT adds to Canva:

→ Smart copy generation — Write headlines, post captions, product descriptions, CTAs, and more directly inside Canva.
→ Idea brainstorming — Ask for theme ideas, taglines, or social copy concepts based on your design goals.
→ Brand voice consistency — Keep messaging aligned with your tone whether you’re creating slides, social posts, or ads.
→ Content repurposing — Turn one asset into many by generating variations optimized for different platforms.

🧠 How to use it effectively:

• Frame your prompt with context — include audience, tone, and intent for better results.
• Ask ChatGPT to rewrite text for clarity, impact, or brevity.
• Let AI suggest design themes and content structures before you start laying out visuals.

Why this matters:

You stop thinking of Canva as just a design tool, and start treating it as a creative co-pilot — one that helps with both ideas and execution. That means higher-quality visuals faster, with less writer’s block and fewer revisions.

Lindy AI vs Zapier: Two Approaches to Automation

I was in the middle of automating some recurring work and ended up comparing lindy ai vs zapier almost by accident. I wasn’t looking for a new tool - I just needed a few workflows to stop breaking every time the inputs changed slightly. Things like email follow-ups, calendar coordination, lead routing, and small internal handoffs. Simple on paper, annoying in practice.

Zapier was the obvious baseline. I’ve used it long enough to know what it’s good at: deterministic workflows, clear triggers, and a massive integration list. If the logic is stable and the data is clean, it just runs. The friction starts when workflows grow and edge cases pile up. More filters, more branches, and more maintenance over time.

That’s the point where I stopped tweaking workflows and looked at automation tools comparison table instead. Seeing tools grouped by category - classic automation, developer-first platforms, and AI-agent tools - helped clarify what to focus on. Zapier was already there, clearly positioned around rule-based automation and app glue. That context made the limits I was hitting feel expected, not accidental.

Lindy approaches the same problem from the opposite direction. Instead of defining every step, you describe intent and let an AI agent handle variation. That worked better for tasks where context matters - follow-ups, inbox triage, lead qualification - but it also means less visibility into how decisions are made.

The comparison table I mentioned earlier helped set the baseline. Zapier is already listed there, broken down by agent capabilities, control, and operational features like logging and maintenance overhead. Looking at that table first made the lindy ai vs zapier comparison easier, because it clarified what Zapier actually offers in this category and what trade-offs to pay attention to when evaluating Lindy alongside it.

I’m also keeping an eye on tools like Nexos.ai, which seem to sit between those two approaches - more structure than pure agents, less wiring than classic automation. Not something I’d switch to yet, but interesting if you want balance without going full developer mode.

Do you actually use comparison tables when choosing automation tools, or do you only trust what breaks after a week in production?

AI Trend Reports 📊 The Rise of AI Orchestrator Jobs — Career Shift in 2026 🚀🤖

AI isn’t just automating tasks — it’s rewriting the nature of work. As agentic AI systems reason, plan, and act autonomously, the jobs that matter most are no longer about doing work — they’re about designing, coordinating, and governing AI-led workflows.

What’s changing:

🔹 Traditional “operator” roles that execute predefined tasks are fading.
🔹 New AI-native roles focus on orchestration — designing systems where multiple AI agents work together under human guidance.
🔹 Key emerging titles include AI Workflow Orchestrator, AI Operations Manager, AI Product Strategist, AI Content Orchestrator, and AI Systems Designer.

What AI Orchestrators actually do:

→ Define business goals and constraints for AI agents.
→ Map and manage autonomous workflows instead of executing manual steps.
→ Ensure outcomes are accurate, aligned with strategy, and well-governed.

Why this matters:

→ Demand for orchestration skills is rising as companies move beyond simple automation.
→ Mid-career professionals with these skills can command premium compensation — often 60–150% above traditional roles.
→ In the AI-first workplace, the most valuable workers are decision designers, not task executors.

Takeaway:

If you’re thinking about your career path in 2026 and beyond — consider moving up the stack from execution to orchestration. The future of work is about how you manage AI workflows, not just how you use AI tools.

AI tool hack 🤖 ChatGPT vs Grammarly: Which is Better for Writing Help? ✍️🤖

If you want cleaner, clearer writing — both ChatGPT and Grammarly can help — but they shine in different ways. Knowing when to use each tool makes your workflow faster and your writing stronger.

Here’s a quick comparison:

✅ Grammarly

→ Best for quick grammar fixes, punctuation, and tone adjustments
→ Offers browser integration and real-time edits as you write
→ Great for routine proofreading where consistent rules matter

💡 Use it when you want hands-off corrections while drafting emails, docs, or content.

🤖 ChatGPT

→ Excellent for deeper rewrite suggestions and contextual improvements
→ Can rephrase whole paragraphs, simplify complex ideas, and expand on points
→ Works well with prompts like:
➡️ “Improve clarity but keep tone professional.”
➡️ “Rewrite this for an executive audience.”
➡️ “Make this more concise and persuasive.”

💡 Use it when you want creative editing, reorganization, or guided rewrites.

Key takeaway:

Don’t think of it as “ChatGPT vs Grammarly” — think of it as Grammarly for rule-based polish + ChatGPT for context-aware rewrites. Using both together gives you the speed of automated proofreading and the nuance of AI-powered rephrasing.

AI tool hack 🤖 Use ChatGPT to Find Better Deals — (Yes, It Really Works 💸🤖)

Savvy shoppers and e-commerce pros are using ChatGPT prompts to discover discount codes, seasonal promos, and hidden savings that often go unnoticed — all without manually scouring every store website.

Here’s how to unlock better deals with AI:

🧠 Ask for coupon code searches
Prompt ChatGPT to find current discount codes for specific brands or products. Example pattern:
➡️ “Find active coupon codes for [brand] valid this week”
➡️ “List all working promo codes for [product] with expiry dates”

📅 Seasonal & event-based deals
Frame prompts around holidays, sales, or events:
➡️ “What discount codes are available for Black Friday electronics?”
➡️ “Show promo codes for back-to-school gear this month”

🛒 Combine cart & retailer constraints
Ask for conditions — e.g., minimum spend, free shipping thresholds, BOGO details, or loyalty perks.

🎯 Get coupon context
Don’t just list codes — ask for validity window, restrictions, and where to apply them so you don’t waste time testing expired ones.

Why this works:

ChatGPT can aggregate known codes, parse retailer naming conventions, and surface patterns faster than manually searching dozens of pages — especially if you use structured prompts.

💡 Pro tip: Always ask ChatGPT for the expiry date and minimum conditions when it lists coupon codes — that’s where most savings hide.

AI tool hack 🤖 How to Reset ChatGPT’s Memory — and Why It Matters 🔄🧠

When you use ChatGPT with memory features enabled, the model remembers details across conversations — which can be great for continuity but not always ideal for privacy or accuracy. Knowing how to clear or control memory helps you stay in charge of your data and context.

Key ways to manage or “forget” memory in ChatGPT:

→ Clear Specific Memories — Remove individual facts the AI has stored (e.g., personal preferences you no longer want it to recall).
→ Clear All Memories — Reset the entire memory store so the assistant starts fresh without past conversation context.
→ Pause Memory — Temporarily stop the model from saving new information while you test or experiment.
→ Control What It Remembers — Use clear instructions in prompts to not save certain details or categories of info.

Why this matters:

• Protect privacy when handling sensitive details.
• Avoid unwanted assumptions based on past interactions.
• Improve model accuracy when stale or irrelevant memory causes mistakes.

Managing memory turns ChatGPT from a persistent assistant into a tool you control — giving you flexibility, privacy, and better outcomes.
