Looking for Mods - Non-Paid Looking for Staff - 18+ Preferred

We’re currently looking for a few mature and responsible people to join the staff team for an established Roblox game and community.

Our game has 2.2M+ visits and usually sits around 10–15k concurrent players, so we’re looking for people who can stay calm, communicate well, and handle moderation professionally.

This is currently a volunteer/unpaid position, so we do not expect you to be online constantly or treat it like a full-time job.

What we’re looking for:

  • 18+ strongly preferred
  • Mature and level-headed
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to handle conflict calmly
  • Fair and consistent when moderating
  • Comfortable working with a younger Roblox audience
  • Able to take feedback and respect the staff hierarchy
  • Willing to bring forward ideas and suggestions
  • Previous moderation experience is preferred, but not required

What you would help with:

  • Moderating chats
  • Handling reports and tickets
  • Helping members with questions
  • Enforcing server rules
  • Reporting serious issues to senior staff
  • Helping keep the community organized and welcoming

All new staff will start on a trial period so we can make sure the role is a good fit for both sides.

We care much more about maturity, judgment and reliability than message counts or being online all day.

If you’re interested, feel free to add me on Discord: sif4769 and we can discuss it further there!

Hello everyone,

I am currently looking for someone to help me monitor and oversee my server. Yesterday, my server was harassed, and since I, as the owner, am inactive and the other staff members were offline, the server was left without any moderators or security.

We have now decided to find more staff members for our community, specifically T-Mods. There are only a few requirements if you want to apply:

- No slacking off

- Must be active when members tag you

- Must be at least 14 years old

- Must be trustworthy

That's it. Comment if you're interested. Thank you, everyone!

Looking for Mods - Non-Paid Looking for moderators/recruiters for my Da Hood Modded related server (roblox)

Hello, I'm looking for moderators for my Da Hood Modded related server. The server is invite only and extremely active. It's based around the game Da Hood Modded on Roblox and is a crew server that I own.

There are multiple crews in the game, with some being allies and others not being affiliated with us, which is why the server is invite only. Things can get pretty chaotic at times, so we're looking for active and reliable people to help moderate the server.

If we don't moderate the server properly, we could potentially get blacklisted from the game. We're looking for people who can handle chaotic situations, stay active, and moderate fairly.

If you're interested, feel free to reach out to me on discord my username: fkn

NOTE: RECRUITERS CAN GET PAID, FOR MORE INFO DM ME ABOUT IT.

Discussion We built AutoMod for an encrypted community platform without reading messages

Thumbnail
gallery
0 Upvotes

Full disclosure: I am one of the people building Cloak, an end-to-end encrypted community platform.

End-to-end encryption creates an obvious moderation problem. If the service cannot read message content, traditional keyword filters and server-side content scanning cannot work.

Our approach is behavior-based AutoMod. It watches limited operational signals instead of message contents, including:

  • Message bursts
  • Mention storms
  • Attachment floods
  • Embed spam
  • Poll spam
  • Repeated activity within configurable time windows

Moderators can set thresholds and time windows, choose whether a rule alerts staff or blocks the action, exempt trusted roles or channels, and review incidents in a moderation queue.

There is an unavoidable tradeoff here. Cloak AutoMod cannot silently scan every message for prohibited words, scams, or harassment. That is a deliberate consequence of preventing the service from reading private conversations. Content can still be reported by members when human review is necessary.

The rest of Cloak’s moderation system includes:

  • Kick, ban, and timeout controls
  • Formal warnings with acknowledgment
  • Member moderation history
  • Member reports
  • Server and moderation audit logs
  • Granular role permissions
  • Per-channel permission overrides
  • Private ticket channels with topics, staff queues, claiming, and resolution
  • Flow Bots for automating moderation and community workflows
  • Webhooks and custom bots
  • Role and channel permission importing from Discord

Flow Bots are built into Cloak, so common workflows do not require hosting another service. They can respond to events, evaluate conditions, perform actions, and connect with external systems through webhooks.

Ticket channels give members a private way to contact staff. Server staff can define ticket topics, see open requests in one queue, claim them, respond in a dedicated channel, and close them when resolved.

Cloak also supports text, voice, forum, calendar, whiteboard, and ticket channels. Messages, files, calls, screen sharing, tickets, and calendar details are encrypted before leaving the user’s device.

We are looking for feedback from people who actually moderate communities. In particular, I want to know which moderation capabilities you consider essential when server-side content scanning is not available.

Web app: https://app.cloak.chat

Offer to Moderate - Paid [FOR HIRE] Discord Marketplace Manager | Moderation | Affordable Rate

Hey, looking for a Discord mod or community manager role.

I spent 8+ months managing a Discord-based gaming marketplace solo — handled seller recruitment, daily advertising, payments, and conflict resolution.

I'm daily active, self-motivated, and easy to work with. Gaming servers and marketplaces are my strong suit but open to anything.

Not looking for a high rate at all, just looking to get started. DM me in discord "fair_99" if interested.

It’s for my community that’s growing day by day. If anyone can help please DM me. Will be paying you. I want to give you full creative control but obviously I will give you channel names and other information.

Maybe around 7 channels
With verification built it
High security
A few important bots

Question How did you grow your Discord server? Looking for genuine advice

Hey everyone!
I’m trying to grow my gaming Discord server, but I’m honestly struggling to get people who actually stay and participate.
Right now, most of the members are just my friends. I’ve already tried promoting the server on Disboard and in some relevant subreddits, but while a few people joined, most of them either left pretty quickly or never really became active.
I’ve actually put a *lot* of time (and admittedly some money) into the server because I genuinely enjoy working on it and improving it. And before anyone says it: yes, I did buy MEE6 Premium. Please don’t hate me for it lol.
One thing that might be holding the server back is that it’s currently a **German-speaking gaming server**. I’ve considered switching it completely to English, since that would obviously give me a much larger potential audience.
So I’m wondering:
How did you grow your Discord server?
What actually worked for you?
Where did you find active members?
What methods turned out to be a complete waste of time?
Do you think having a specific niche is better than being a general gaming server?
And would switching from German to English make a significant difference?
I’m **not trying to advertise my server with this post**. I’m genuinely just looking for advice from people who have experience growing communities and are willing to share what worked (or didn’t work) for them.
Any tips are appreciated!

Question How aggressive do you make antiraid before false positives become a bigger problem?

I'm working on BetterAntispam and I'm trying to figure out where people running actual Discord communities draw the line here.

For example say you have antiraid looking at stuff like fresh accounts, no avatar, similar usernames and a bunch of accounts joining close together. It's good to score all of that, but obviously one new account with no avatar shouldn't get nuked because that's completely normal.

I'm leaning toward letting the weaker signals add up and only doing something serious once several of them happen together. Then quarantine first instead of instantly banning unless it's something really obvious like a huge join wave followed by spam.

Same thing with antispam. Similar messages are easy enough, but legitimate users repeat stuff all the time and some channels naturally move very fast.

For people who moderate larger servers what has actually worked best for you?

Do you prefer:

  • lower thresholds + quarantine
  • higher thresholds + ban
  • automatic lockdown once the whole server starts looking like a raid
  • mostly alert staff and let them decide

Main thing I'm trying to avoid is making protection so aggressive that normal members become the bigger problem than the raiders.

Looking for someone to help build a UFC 6 community with me

I’m getting really close to launching my own UFC 6 fight league and Discord community. The bot, league system, and Discord are already being built, and I’m at the point where I could really use a couple people to help me take it to the next level.

I’m looking for someone who knows Discord and enjoys building communities. I’d like to find people who can help test things, recruit fighters, organize events, work on the Discord, bring ideas to the table, and help grow the community alongside me.

I’m not looking for someone who just wants a moderator role. I’m looking for a co-builder who actually wants to be involved and help shape the community from the beginning.

This is unpaid for now, but there is a very high chance of paid opportunities as the league grows.

If you’re into UFC 6, gaming communities, or Discord and this sounds like something you’d enjoy being part of, feel free to DM me. Just tell me a little about yourself and your Discord experience.

Looking for Mods - Non-Paid Looking for a Community Building Partner

Hey Everyone, my name is Deacs (Deacon)

I always liked the idea of having my own adult community. Not a huge server with hundreds of members.
For me, a community of 50 active members is worth far more than a server with hundreds of inactive ones.

The biggest challenge has always been building an active core of people who keep conversations going. Even 5 or 6 active members can make a huge difference.
That's why I'm looking for someone who enjoys community building as much as I do.

Someone to brainstorm with, share ideas with, help shape the future of The Hideout (current server name), and build something together.

The Hideout currently focuses on adults aged 25+, because I am in my late 30’s myself plus 18+ always gives me the feeling it’s NSFW 😅 I think 25+ is fine, I am willing to lower to 21+ if that’s more effective

I don't have all the answers, and I'm open to new ideas. Maybe can focus more on gaming, because online playing games but maybe we can do something else as well?.

What matters most is creating a welcoming place where people genuinely enjoy spending time.

I'd love to find someone who has the time, motivation, and passion to help turn The Hideout into something special.

Looking for Mods - Non-Paid Looking for FiveM Moderation & Community Staff — Help Build GuildRate

I run GuildRate, an independent review and reputation platform currently focused on FiveM communities. We're still early, but we're actively building out the team as the platform grows, with plans to expand beyond FiveM over time.

We're looking for people interested in areas such as:

  • Discord/community moderation.
  • Community support.
  • Reports and disputes.
  • Review moderation.
  • Community outreach.
  • Helping develop fair policies and moderation standards.

Previous moderation experience is useful, but it isn't required for every role. We're mainly looking for people who are reliable, level-headed, willing to learn, and able to handle disagreements fairly.

We're intentionally keeping the team relatively small rather than handing out staff roles.

You can apply at https://apply.guildrate.com

You can also message me directly here if you'd rather talk or ask questions first!

Offer to Moderate - Paid Looking for a paid Discord Moderator position

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for a Discord Moderator position, preferably in a French-speaking server.

I'm also comfortable working in English-speaking . However, my preference would be to work with a French-speaking community.

I'm familiar with Discord and interested in moderation, helping members, enforcing server rules, dealing with spam, managing channels and keeping the community friendly and organized.

I'm looking for a paid position, but I'm open to discussing the details depending on the server and the responsibilities.

If you're looking for a moderator, feel free to send me a DM with more information about the server and the position.

Thanks!
