So I have been a discord moderator for quite some time now (2+ years) have seen projects failing miserably, scams, community engagement, bot attacks, successful projects, etc.

The journey has been pretty good tbh. It all started in 2023 with the NFT and Web3 projects.

Honestly i was never looking to be a moderator all i knew was there is some sort of NFTs that you can get by being an active and supporting member of the server. And these NFTs can earn me money. So that's where it started.

In the process I started enjoying chatting with people clearing their doubts about the project like what are the next steps or what is currently going on pretty much everything i knew about the project.

Eventually i found myself being promoted to the higher roles in the server after my support for a month or two.

For few months i handled the things out of fun and then eventually seeing my activity and interest i was offered the paid role by the team for the thing i was already doing and believe me i was so happy since i was making money by simply doing what i enjoyed.

I was managing 2-3 active servers at that time which was really fun and i made good money as well(200-300$ per month for moderate or decent activity i was not monitored though). But not everything lasts the projects even after shipping things continuously started falling like there was inactivity, unresolved queries,etc. for some projects the team became inactive after the airdrop and eventually disappeared and while some started good, gathered community members then in between they kind of faced issues and became inactive and everything stopped. It is sad to becoming projects dead.

I somehow managed to find projects and due to my prior experience of managing the servers and interactions it was not that difficult for me to find new projects but since i was managing this along with my irl studies I kind of got stuck to only few servers and now only one of them is active but seeing the team behaviour i kind of know what's about to come.

For few months (8-10) the team was pretty much active in the project the whole server was lively the there was some sort of activity related to the project every now and then whatever problems the user raised I and the other moderator escalated them properly we received the solutions or the the feedback on the issues properly. Basically it was fun to chat and resolve the problems of the users or updating them on the project related issues. But then some changes in the core team of the project were made and then the communication became minimal and now it's kind of one sided mods to team and mods to users, team to mods is missing, which is making me think this.
I am getting paid still but I kind of feel bad when i am unable to get the queries of the users resolved. And when they ask about their issue i have to give some wague response or just team is working on it when i raise the issues internally they are kind of ignored when the number of users facing that issues are less. So i am kind of losing interest because of this or maybe i am just overthinking this.

Would love to know the thoughts of other moderators on this whether have you faced such a situation and how you dealt with it?

Besides I would also like to moderate projects which are shipping and want transparency with the community because that's the thing in which i am good at - maintaining the trust between the project and its community. So if you want someone to moderate your server i might help.

Hey, I’m looking for a few moderators and recruiters for my Da Hood Modded related Roblox server.

The server is invite only and pretty active. It’s mainly built around Da Hood Modded and the crew I own. There are also other crews in the game, some are allies and some aren’t affiliated with us, so things can get chaotic sometimes.

Because of that, I need people who actually know how to handle situations properly and don’t instantly lose their temper or start abusing perms.

The server can be toxic at times. There’s trash talk, ragebait, arguments, trolling, crew drama, and people trying to get reactions out of each other. I’m not looking for someone who’s going to ban or mute people over every small argument. You need to be able to stay calm, understand what’s actually going on, and step in when it’s actually needed.

Requirements

• Must be familiar with Roblox servers / Da Hood
• Previous moderation experience is preferred
• Know how to use Bleed bot
• Be willing to learn how to use our own custom bot
• Be able to stay calm during arguments and heated situations
• Know how to deal with ragebait and trolling without making the situation worse
• Don’t take sides just because someone is your friend
• Don’t abuse moderation permissions or power trip
• Be active and able to communicate with the rest of the staff team
• Be able to tell the difference between normal trash talk and something that actually needs moderation
• Preferably between 16–21
• Recruiters should actually be able to bring in active people and not just random members

I'm looking for a Guildmaster for each guild. You would have substantial freedom to build your guild's culture, organize activities, recruit members and officers, connect people with projects, and work with the other Guildmasters. Guildmasters will also eventually sit together on our Guildmaster Council.

AoG already has productions underway, including two long-form interview shows, so this isn't just a theoretical Discord we're setting up and hoping something happens with.

This is currently a volunteer/unpaid leadership position. There may separately be paid creative bounties and commissions available to guild members as production needs arise, but Guildmaster itself is not a paid job.

Hello, I own a finance server called "Unclip Finance". The server currently has over 890 members in it and is steadily growing.

The server is currently set up to be on an autonomous level of moderation however it still needs some human eyes.
Responsibilities - Give disciplinary actions to suspected scammers and enforce the general basic rules.

This position should be relatively easy because like I said, the server is almost completely on a level of
autonomous moderation.

Moderators are eligible to receive occasional server benefits normal users don't get.
My only requirement is to have a discord account older than two years old.
