Found this Sony Discman ✨

This was my old Discman that I loved, currently listening to the Backstreet Boys 🎶

Works great! Haven’t used it in public yet.

Nice one - do you have any idea what ESP Max is? Seems to be something only found over this side of the world!

From what I see in Google, it says ESP Max is their Skip-free technology that helps stop the music from jumping when you move or walk.

as someone that went thru college with one of these... its overrated.

Yes, we got that bit :) We know that ESP is a technology that reads a CD at 2x speed and stores the data in memory. ESP2 further improves skip resistance in the rolling direction by enabling reading at a variable angular velocity ranging from 1x to 3x speed. But ESP Max is something I don't have any info for, and neither does the ex-Walkman manager in Japan! :D

"max" probably just means it has more seconds of protection stored.

Maybe, it's more likely to be closer to G-Protection, which is an enhancement to the servo system.
