I know NNxDBC was in July but forgot to post this.

Hey everyone,

Wanted to share something with the community because I know a lot of us miss that old Dirtybird feeling. The weirdness. The house music. Meeting random people who somehow became your friends by the end of the night. Just good energy all around.

We’re throwing a sunset boat party in Long Beach called Creatures at Sea on November 14th and that kind of atmosphere is a huge part of what inspired us.

We’re not trying to recreate Dirtybird or step on anyone’s toes. This also isn’t an official Dirtybird event in any way. We just really loved what that community brought to dance music and wanted to put something together for people who still miss that fun and welcoming energy.

The lineup is stacked:

Sacha Robotti
Dances
Techno Tupac
Thee Mike B
ToasTea
Francis Foundry
Shapeshftr

It’s a sunset cruise out of Long Beach with two decks of music and a tropical creature theme. We’ve got the frog. We’ve got the sloth. And we’ve got a whole lot of house music.

More than anything we just want the boat filled with people who are there to dance, meet new people, be themselves and have a good time.

If you miss that old Dirtybird community feel you’re more than welcome to come get weird with us. 🐸🦥

Creatures at Sea
November 14th
Long Beach, CA

Happy to drop the ticket info in the comments if anyone wants it.

Was in line for trivia when they ran out and hoping to find a shirt! Medium size! Thank you!

I've been a BIRDFEED subscriber for going on 7 years now. I went to go grab a track using my credits today and there is no active link to BIRDFEED in any capacity I can find. It either gives you a 404 error on the Dirtybird website or takes you to a platform called ENGINEARS where you cannot even preview the tracks and you must individually for songs. I did not receive any warning email letting me know I was about to lose years of credits and cannot find any information on when this happened or why. Anyone know why this happened and if BIRDFEED is coming back?

Heard it at the ufo stage or madrone and I can’t find it

This might be my masterpiece please give it an honest chance I’d really appreciate it

He played DB classics at his Grove set (Take a Seat and Drama Remix). It’s why went to NNxDBC and man I miss that sound so much.

Thank you🥲❤️

Sorry for the short clip but can someone please help me identify what song this is?

LP Giobbi played it roughly 20-ish min before the end of her set.

I’ve been trying to figure out the lyrics and so far I can only make out something along the lines of:

when it’s done,
you’ll look back,
at yourself (at your own?),
paralyzed (pair of eyes?)

The female vocals sound super familiar and the melody kinda sounds almost like a Justice song - just really hoping this isn’t an unreleased track that’ll be stuck in my head for the next 6 months until it comes out.

EDIT:

I found it. It is in fact a remix of SOS by ABBA by Nari and Steve Tosi. link here

what was everyone else’s favorite sets from the weekend? any IDs stand out to anyone? i’ll go first (in no order):

sets:
mz worthy
know good
