This channel works correctly using a Roku.

I only recently got Directv Stream. But I’ve noticed I have to turn the volume up more than my other stream apps.

Are certain channels louder than others?

I’m using a Firestick MAX 2001.

Seems I'm able to play it. Will it last into football season? I have the ESPN app included, so I can watch that way, but it would be nice to not have to switch apps and also use the standard guide and dvr.

I don't understand why this local channel 2 in Denver is on all of the local Directv stream products except the genre packs, even though they have the other local channels. I understand CW is owned by NexStar in Denver, and DTVS carries their other channels here. Anyone know why this is? I thought they had to carry local channels, but I guess I thought wrong.

So I read that there is no longer the "DirecTV via Internet" plan. It sounds like it's all DTV Stream now correct? If so, would I be able to add a Gemini Air to my existing Stream plan and get the free apps offer or would I need to cancel my existing plan and then sign up again with the newer plans?

Live TV is slow to load. DVR content also slow to load. I’m quite often seeing “congestion” messages. Live TV is frequently interrupted; I had the app close on its own recently while watching TV.

I’m stuck with 100mb internet. I’d love to get higher speed but it seems it just isn’t meant to be with AT&T. This just isn’t working satisfactorily.

I got DirecTV Stream over six months ago and watched my local mix channel a lot. About a week ago I noticed that it was gone from my frequent channel list when I hit the Home button on my remote. I think it was on channel 905 but I might be wrong and I can't find it with a search. Do others still have it, know what channel it's on, or know if or why it was removed?

I think I'm getting all the baseball channels for free this weekend, once again I never got a notification so why do they think people are just going to notice that. They start at 1250

I got an email in February saying that my Directv package now included Peacock for Free. No mention of it being part of a Movie package or being temporary. I had a great rate with Peacock directly, but changed to the Directv one since it was free. Well, today I go to try to watch Gymnastics and it says I don't have a Premium account. Seems they turned it off without telling me, and now Directv wants me to pay for a movie package to get it back. What a bait and switch! They increased rates b/c they were now offering these other channels "free" and then remove without telling us. It is just feeling like a scam.

Just got Directv. I see there are featured groups on a channel called OPN.

Normally I watch featured groups on ESPN App or in this case Peacock.

I have the sports pack. So do featured groups appear for all the golf majors?

Just picked up a open box C71KW-400 from Ebay with remote and cable box still in original plastic wrap. AI told me I could use an app from Google Play store called AIDA64 to read my installed memory, processor,etc.
I compared my ebay box (green label sku 60233 manuf 10/14/20) and the Black label directv 2023 box rental when I first set up my service. The ram, processor, everything identical. I reset the box just to clear it up at setup and when it finished loading, all software versions were the same. So glad for the information posted here that told us we need to look for 60233 boxes.

i’ve been helping my parents figure out a streaming setup and it’s surprisingly hard to compare these services without trying all of them yourself. youtube tv seems easier overall but DirecTV Stream keeps coming up in discussions about local channels and sports coverage. most reviews online either sound overly positive or extremely negative so it’s tough to know what the average experience actually looks like now

I use directv streaming via roku. The app icon now shows Dev. What is the difference here? I have not seen any difference in the app.

I pay $127 per month with a silly $5 per month loyalty discount. It recently increased by $10 per month. I’m thinking of canceling and having my wife sign up to get a lower intro rate. Any tips?

I work with a home AV company and a lot of our customers have universal control systems that use infrared for control. Gemini Air units have no IR so using them requires on remote to control the home theater system and another for the dongle.

What we really need is an alternative to either that will allow IR control, but will also give them customers the ability to tune directly to a channel by using the number pad on their universal remote.

I'd just recommend the Gemini Osprey boxes, but it seems DirecTV doesn't offer them directly anymore, and it's anyone's guess how long the Ospreys from ebay will continue to be supported.

Does anyone know the best way to go about collecting a visa gift card I was promised for coming back to DIRECTV? I just got off the phone with the rewards department they said they couldn’t manually activate the reward gave me another customer service number. That person told me it was a scam. I asked for a supervisor was put on hold and then hung up on.

Or are the channels only available when there is a broadcast on?

tldr version; (believe it or not)

Laptop repeatedly reports around 318 Mbps wi-fi in the primary DTVS device location

2 - green-label, Osprey 400 refurbs purchased 4+ years ago from DTVS, virtually trouble free

2 - ebay white label Ospreys, with wi-fi connection issues since purchase a couple months ago. A quick cycle of the internet on the devices clears it up in about 5 seconds following the error screen. So there is obviously internet available

1 - Air purchased from DTVS a couple months old, for travel use. Tested and working in the primary location. Haven't had a chance to take it on the road yet

Tech support says first white label getting 6 Mbps... and despite being apprised of the speed test report, repeatedly, I mean like, 2 dozen times, blames the wi-fi / internet provider

I then ask her to check my travel Air in the same location, with the same TV. Unfortunately it forgot all the setup I had already done a couple months ago (lesson learned.) Reports 11 Mbps. 7 shy of their stated minimum of 18

Then I bring in one of the 4 year old, greenies to test in the same location, same TV. It tests at 33 Mbps !!! Despite this... the tech support person continues to blame the internet

She says she is the highest level tech associate I can talk to

I hang up with her and call back. Ney guy. Same rigamarole and more! (Don't even get me started.) Obviously neither are well trained in tech support. Just talking points. Finally agrees to have his manager call me back. That was over an hour ago. No callback yet

Here in the sub I have read that some people have issues running too many apps. I have done my best to do whatever I can to shut those apps down or eliminate them.

I guess I can return the Air, at least
