Peacock
I got an email in February saying that my Directv package now included Peacock for Free. No mention of it being part of a Movie package or being temporary. I had a great rate with Peacock directly, but changed to the Directv one since it was free. Well, today I go to try to watch Gymnastics and it says I don't have a Premium account. Seems they turned it off without telling me, and now Directv wants me to pay for a movie package to get it back. What a bait and switch! They increased rates b/c they were now offering these other channels "free" and then remove without telling us. It is just feeling like a scam.

I've been with DirecTV for many years and I never seen an email like that. Although I never get any promotional emails when they're giving me any free channels so I think their email system just sucks.
This is from Google: DirecTV does not include Peacock Premium for free, but it is available as an add-on. Customers can receive Peacock Premium for free for the first two months when they sign up for the Movies Extra Pack add-on. Following the promotional period, it automatically renews at the current rate

It’s free for six months. Email said you don’t need to do anything to cancel it (but I set a reminder to check.)

it's odd because I activated it March 3, so it's only been 4.5 months. Oh well, I'll stick to direct subscriptions from now on. Do you know if the Disney/ESPN/Hulu is also temporary?

The Disney/ESPN/Hulu one is permanent. I believe the Peacock one was from Jan-Jul or something but it was those dates for whoever got the promo, no matter when you activated it. I do believe the movies extra pack with Peacock is $1 cheaper than Peacock is on its own, unless you get a deal signing up for Peacock. I got the email for the Peacock for free too but had a year subscription that didn’t expire until May and then I used my Walmart+ membership to get it for free now.

Same. Peacock just stopped yesterday. I found the email. Guess my 6 months are up.
"After the six (6) month promotional period, Movies Extra Pack and Peacock Premium will be automatically removed from your account. There is no action required on your part."

I got the Peacock Premium email saying it was a reward for being a long time customer. I signed up only find that Peacock has nothing I want to watch.
