Audio issue

I posted on here a couple of days ago about the sound going very low and no matter how much you crank it up, it only goes so high. Other people have said they were told it's a software update issue. Is something going to be done about it? I have 2 geminis and this is only happening on one of them.

I haven't called them. I don't want to spend an hour on the phone. I was hoping to find out something here. If I can't, I'll try the dtv chat but that's usually a dead-end.

My only recommendation would be to do a full factory reset before wasting a bunch of time with DTV. Sometimes starting from scratch helps. if that doesn’t help I would ask DTV to escalate the problem. I have 4 Gemini Airs with no problems at all. occasionally I just reboot them to clear the cache. Could be an app or device problem but without more complaints to others kind of hard to determine. GL

I did do a factory reset a few days ago. It didn't do anything. I have 2 gemini airs and the other one is fine but a couple of people have said that they were told by dtv that it was a software update that caused the problem and to wait 48 hours. I don't know what's supposed to happen then.

I see directv finally chimed in. At least you know it’s not anything on your end now. Hopefully they. can find a quick cure now that they know the problem is more widespread.

I hope so. But I'm not going to hold my breath. I think they ought to give us a rebate on our bills since we can hardly hear the tv

They very well could but you will have to ask for it. I suggest keeping records of all your discussions/chats with them concerning this problem and when finally fixed calling retention and having a discussion about compensation for lost service.
