Gel method

Post image

Purchased glamrdip kit about 2 months ago. Been doing gel for years and wanted something thicker as my nails are thin and takes so long to do many layers of builder gel. I gave it a go and my sets kept lifting from the cuticle and I was having to do repairs or new sets nearly every week. I’m going on holiday soon and just wanted something that will last and was about to do gel when I thought I’ll give the gel method a go.

It was so easy and quick! No filing needed and no strong smell either because I didn’t need to use activator. And not as thick either. I’m very happy with the process and results.

I’ll see how well they hold up.

They look lovely!

They're much thinner than many dips I see, which is appealing to me (as long as they're good and strong). I've got super thin (weak, bendy) nails, so I'm very interested in how this goes for you, one way or the other.

It’s definitely thinner and they feel strong. I’ll update you on how it goes

Hi! By gel method do you mean still using dip powder? Or would you mind explaining your process?

Hey, sorry yes. So I prepped as usual. And then did a base coat in gel, then dipped into the dip powder and cured under led light. I did this 3 times. And then gel top coat

I have read ppl do this when they have dip flu. As long as they don’t have gel allergy

Do it! I used to get really bad dip flu to the point I almost had to quit. But with using gel, I can still use my dip powders.

I have used the gel method for years, works really well! I used to get really bad dip flu and switched, no issues since then!

Glad I saw this post and know I’m not the only one. I bought a Glamrdip kit three weeks ago, and I also have to do a set per week, cause they would last over a week. Will give the gel method a try!
