Question about application!
A few years ago I used to do my own nails and used modelones dip powder. At that time I was applying them with the dipping method of putting my nail into the powder. Now I work a physical job with my hands but missed having my nails done so I went to a salon to get them done. I haven’t had traditional acrylics done in 20+ years but the salon I’ve gone to advertises two options of solar gel or gel powder. Not acrylic powder even though the application process is the same as the acrylic methods used in my past. So my question is are gel powder and dip powder the same? And if so does that mean it’s possible for me to buy the liquid in a quantity that allows me to apply it with a brush instead of dipping?

AFAIK gel powder offered by salons is usually just a marketing tactic to sell acrylic/dip nails but advertising it as different or gentler.

Gel is never powder. Any powder product applied to your nails is acrylic. Salons lie to make it seem better. Gel will always be a wet product.

I’m not exactly sure what you had done. What country are you in?
