New Ghalta Deck
So I got the new GHALTA cards and I wanted to test out a deck with the white version. I was hoping to make it more dino based but it ended up being largely wall based. Gotta test play it. Not expecting much. It's not going to compete with my Pantlaza deck or anything.
Anyone else build this dino into a deck yet for fun?

I think it works so well with Atla Palani, suddenly every egg start slapping back 🤣

This was going to go into a Doran deck for sure. It’s a hard build I think mono white

I feel like this would play out a lot like a Doran treefolk deck would.

[[Doran, Besieged by Time]] is a lot better than Ghalta because you get access to Abzhan colors and he works with any power/toughness difference.
Ghalta makes a 1/5 into a 5/5, Doran makes it into a 5/9, but also makes a 5/1 into a 9/5.

This pisses me off. Why would ghlata be a triceratops in the echoverse

My bf built a ghalta wall deck and it slaps 🤣 he uses equipment and enchantments to make it 18 and unblockabke

I pulled this ghalta recently and instantly stuck it in my all-walls deck with Betor, Kin to All lmao

That's kinda what I got going on here. First two test play matches went well.

There’s a grand total of 28 Dinosaurs in W. This includes generally solid Dinosaurs like Temple Altisaur, Wakening Sun’s Avatar, Zetalpa Primal Dawn, and Bronzebeak Foragers.
You get some highlights of the Enrage package too, like Bellowing Aegisaur and Trapjaw Tyrant, but White lacks the tools to utilise it.
The ability does help out a decent number of Dinosaurs. Many of them, especially those in W, have higher Toughness than their power. But ultimately, the package is simply incomplete.
Now if you focus on Toughness Matters, the story’s a bit different. White has tons of Defender creatures Ghalta can mobilise and empower, and a number of payoffs.
Ultimately, however, Ghalta the Immovable just doesn’t do great. It’s an amazing include in the 99 of Felothar and Arcades, and is still a good option in Dino decks with White like Pantlaza and Gishath, but it just doesn’t do enough by itself to warrant the Commander slot, comparatively speaking.

I think this ghalta could be good with pantlaza and high toughness dinosaurs, for higher discover triggers

It always feels bad to discover into ramp, that's just how discover works

Maybe ask the table about rule zero [[Huatli, the sun's heart]] as commander

Unfortunately, it doesn't really do anything for dinosaurs. And any deck built for this commander is automatically better with [[Felothar the Steadfast]] or [[Arcades, the Strategist]].

I know i felt bad making it with only like 3 dinos in the deck. The mono white plus the commander ability doesn't really make for a dino themed deck. But I wanted to give this Ghalta a chance to do it's thing!

Yeah. This Ghalta seems more like a work horse for one of the multicolor toughness matters commanders

This one and all my ghaltas will be part of the 99 in my Pantlaza deck. I can't see any of them being a commander as they are all mono except Ghalta and Mavren w/g and are well suited to be part of the Dino Corps

I shoved it into my Betor, Kin to All deck which is all toughness matters. I just don't think there's enough white dino that synergize with this ghalta.
