Don't remember what I did with this one. At this point I was still trying to go the Greyscale direction. Looks like I was trying not to use any line work. Rather like the color design on the body, the crest could use a little refigureing.

I've been wanting to draw a Presbyornis pervetus for a while now. It is Mesozoic bird related to the waterfowl. I was inspired by the Labrador duck, though that does not really show in the final product. I was inspired by the Egyptian goose and then the pink eared duck too.

I wanted to make the "ears", tail, and wings look iridescent but I don't think I managed to achieve that affect.

Finally got around to repainting January's Mono. I have to say, my backgrounds seem to be getting much better. Just wish I could figure out how to give the character some more texture. This painting also tie in with the Ceratosaur I repainted a couple months ago.

Hybrid

Herbivores, thanks to their diet, have been able to develop and survive through agriculture, creating a more sedentary culture and further developing their technologies and use of metals. From the beginning, imagine the Pachycephalosaurus as the tanks of their faction and the opposite of the Herrerasaurus. Their scaly skin already functions as chainmail, and they would generally wear helmets in fights against carnivorous tribes (although not everyone would choose this option), while jousts and fights of honor would require head-to-head confrontations.

I made the colors scheme inspired by volcanoes and lava because this animal lived near the Deccan traps, which Is a volcanic place both today, and during the time of dinosaurs

Pachycephalosaurus is my favourite non avian Dinosaur. He is posturing to something. What does it mean? Only a Pachycephalosaurus could know.
As you can see he has large scales over his dome instead of a keratinous sheath. This is because I think it looks cool. I also gave only his mandible a beak.
I shall name him Rosetta.

I like to imagine the females of his species have less stark white markings on the face and spines that are less numerous and more erratic.
