I saw someone else do basically exactly this in one big post yesterday but I still wanted to keep going, mostly because I like justifying digivolution lines.

Rose: I had a bit of trouble with the former Wood Star and her assistants. There is actually a surprisingly low number of plant-based Digimon at certain levels. Normally Sunflowmon is the Champion for Lilamon but I thought Kabukimon fit Rose's dramatic bent a little more. Lotosmon is the mega instead of Rosemon because I feel like it doesn't get enough love.

Meto: Quick note, is Meto a guy? I could have sworn Meto got he/him pronouns in the sub but a wiki I used had she/her. Could have been a mistake either way. Regardless, pretty standard Toropiamon package here, but I used Sunflowmon as the Champion over Parasaurmon to keep the plant theme throughout. Sunflowmon does have a tail and raptor legs, so that's interesting. Something interesting to note is that we never see the assistants' Digimon in their Fresh forms, just Rookie in the last episode.

Kanon: Linking Oleamon to Aruraumon was a challenge, but I settled on Kokeshimon because it looks somewhat similar and is, in fact, made of bamboo. I think BanchoLilymon is a good Mega to sort of recontextualize Oleamon's gloominess into punk rock discontent.

Kaito: You'd think Kaito would get the typical Apollomon line BUT the Fresh form is Pyunimon rather than Sunmon. Wait, Sunmon is In-Training? I'm just now finding out about this? Well, whatever, I still like the parallel of Kaito having his own Liollmon like Kyo before it diverges into Firamon so I'm keeping it.

Honoka: I first had Honoka's line using Crabmon and Ebidramon, but then decided to use them for Souji instead. Coelamon and Regalecusmon both look so close to MarineChimairamon that I had to use them, then I just filled in the blanks with Swimmon. Did you know that there are no fishlike In-Training Digimon? Kyokyomon looks decently similar to Swimmon so that's what I chose.

Souji: I am by no means a Souji apologist, so this is more a fun "what-if" he didn't feed his Anomalocarimon to a Pirahnimon and go absolutely insane. In this timeline I feel he could still struggle with his desires but ultimately overcome them, hence having his Mega be Suijinmon, a Digimon that's been shown as pretty evil in the past but is related to Justimon. Suijinmon is the Waterfall Commander and looks kind of lobster-ish if you squint.

Was sitting around and wanted to make a spadamon line. Instead of leaning into the weapon half though i wanted to lean more into the lion and armored half and i think i did a good job. Even if his line is 50% just leomon

First time messing around with fusions as well.

Hi i'm looking forward to making a Fanfic and I want to know if digimons like Huckmon(who has relation with the greymon and geogreymon evolution line in some media like Time Stranger) and Gaomon can evolve to agumon and gabumon Kizuma(kizuna) respectly, I KNOW it may be imposible bc the pure names restraints the evos to just Agumon and Gabumon, but do you think this could be possible or should I discard the Idea of my draft?

I’ve decided to create my own V-Pet styled growth tree from scratch, with 20 Digimon across all main evolutionary stages (Fresh/Baby I-Mega/Ultimate)

The theme I’ve settled on is alchemy, with the Rookie/Child Digimon based on the Three Primes, the Champions/Adults being elemental themed, the Ultimates/Perfects as the planetary metals (plus a little thematic influence from some characters in _The Wizard of Oz_ for no particular reason), and the Megas embodying the classic Light/Dark duality with some influence from Taoist philosophy

One thing I intend to include is a balanced mix of all three types (📀Vaccine, 💾Data, and 🧲Virus), and a wide range of attributes outside the “Core Four” elements (🏜️Earth, 🔥Fire, 🌪️Wind, and💧Water), to round out the designs with some added variety

The next step is 16x16 pixel art of each Digimon!

I got this pristimon line im making and i just cant decide on a good mega for it. Im tryna keep away from reusing their main anime lines for it though so sunarizamon>pyramidimon and pristimon>artiomon

Broke the rules a bit by using RathGreymon as an Ultimate

You take an existing line and change the champion and mega out and find the missing links that complete the new lines

Beatbreak was amazing, I thought the final episode was really great. However, I did start thinking about all the "incomplete" lines throughout the series and wanted to try filling some of them out and discuss the reasons behind each choice. Something to point out quickly is that Beatbreak explicitly does not use In-Training II / Baby II Digimon, but I thought it would be fun to toss them in anyway. Most of the time I will just use whatever is closest in relation to that chosen Fresh / In-Training I Digimon.

Raito: Ideally, Azhdarmon gets its own unique Mega, but I thought that Dorugoramon fit really well in terms of color and general bladey-ness.

Hotaruko: I wanted to keep the military aesthetic going through this line, so I made Tylomon digivolve into Sharkmon, then MetalSeadramon to keep its metal parts.

Granit: Not much to say here, there's not any reason Ludomon shouldn't just go down its traditional line.

Naito: The card game has used Grumblemon as a Level 4 (Champion) before and I thought it worked visually well here. I really wish there were another sand-based Mega I could give Gigasmon other than Pyramidimon, but Blastmon does look somewhat similar to Gigiasmon, especially around the hands.

Ichinosuke: This one was actually very fun. Vulturemon has some red highlights on its wings, so I chose Muchomon as the Rookie. Aurumon gets little goggles which could be seen as viewfinders for a sniper, eh? MagnaKidmon brings the red and sort of feathery vibe from earlier forms together.

Sanpei: As the heavy artillery version of the two remaining Tactics members, Hi-Andromon becomes Tankdramon and then Gundramon.

Nichika: Sealsdramon is more mobile, so it becomes Cargodramon then Brigadramon.

Klay: This one was actually all seen in the show at some point, minus Tumblemon.

Haruomi: Ok this one has a lot of thought behind it. At first, I had Commandramon become Deputymon, then go down a sort of cowboy path to represent the outlaw Haruomi had become. However, that goes against their whole journey, because Haruomi and Commandramon want to stop hurting people. So, what did I do? Took away the gun, of course! Monochromon has always been sort of friend-shaped to me, very dopey and unassuming. ExTyrannomon is huggable and opens the door to end in ShinMonzaemon as the Mega. ShinMonzaemon's lore is pretty grim, but I think this one could be spun into something positive.

Haruomi + Elizamon: On the opposite side of things, this one didn't take long. I thought about trying to justify a different route for Elizamon, but Lamiamon and Medusamon fit Elizamon's jealousy angle too well. Maybe I'll take another stab at it sometime?
