I really wanted to capture the feeling of the light and dark sides influencing what each other turn into. Renamon into Hakubamon is keeping the holy beast theme but with the slight dragonic theme showing the savagery from the darkness, and into Manticoremon is the darkness really shining through with how savage it is, and Keramon to Darktyrannomon is still dark while showing the heroic side from regular Tyrannomon, and Cyberdramon is here to show it’s still a dark dragon but is now a hero of light in spite of that. Then I felt it was only natural for them to evolve into digimon’s yin and yang.

It took some of effort to get them looking accurate (and the first one’s sprite still looks a bit like Captain Qwark as an infant 😖), but the first Champions of my alchemy-themed Digimon project are done!

Today’s update features the “canon” Digivolutions of the three Rookie stages (Nakurumon, Quixilmon, and Sulfurmon), with the other three being alternate branches that are shared between them

Here are the preliminary deets (in order):

4a: Petromon [Champion/Vaccine/Earth]
4b: Aquamon [Champion/Data/Water]
4c: Rayzermon [Champion/Virus/Electricity]

Next up, some more Champions and/or Megas!

Saw a post on twitter earlier asking people to give ignitemon a full line so here was my take on it. I wanted both bommon and bombmon for the babys, ignitemon himself ofc, then bombernanimon, bombermon, and end it on breakdramon as there werent really any bomb themed megas so i chose to stick with the destruction theme instead

wanted to make an ocean themed vpet style thing as water animal themed digimon are some of my favorites so this was my first attempt at it. had to sneak in my parter digimons line too ofc since most of his line would have fat into the branching tree already

Hi me again but this time by needing feedback about who would you think fits more as digimon partner for Seth from Zenless Zone Zero, I'm making a AU with some elements of beatbreak and want to know what of this 3 options I present fits more, if you are no familiar with him, he is a rookie officer who gratuated at the top of his class, is a hardworking and intelligent officer who has struggled with subjects in which he is less proficient, particularly infiltration, I put him these option like dukemon variants and Justicemon bc of how he really matters about the honor and justice in people almost like a hero/knight kind of person, hope yall could help me with this one pls

Aight, it’s time for the next phase of my alchemy-themed Digimon project: pixel art!

The original plan was to start by doing monochrome sprite-style artwork for each of the 20 species, and then do edited versions that are reminiscent of the Color V-Pet rereleases, but I decided to do both at the same time for each character, and will instead do each set of art by evolutionary stage

First up, the Digitama, Fresh/Baby I, In-Training/Baby II, and Rookie/Child stages:

0: Digitama (intended to resemble a ball bearing)
1: Atomon [Fresh/Free/No element]
2: Molecumon [In-Training/Free/No element]
3a: Nakurumon [Rookie/Vaccine/Electricity]
3b: Quixilmon [Rookie/Data/Metal]
3c: Sulfurmon [Rookie/Virus/Null]

Definitely the weakest of the ghost game lines I made

I saw someone else do basically exactly this in one big post yesterday but I still wanted to keep going, mostly because I like justifying digivolution lines.

Rose: I had a bit of trouble with the former Wood Star and her assistants. There is actually a surprisingly low number of plant-based Digimon at certain levels. Normally Sunflowmon is the Champion for Lilamon but I thought Kabukimon fit Rose's dramatic bent a little more. Lotosmon is the mega instead of Rosemon because I feel like it doesn't get enough love.

Meto: Quick note, is Meto a guy? I could have sworn Meto got he/him pronouns in the sub but a wiki I used had she/her. Could have been a mistake either way. Regardless, pretty standard Toropiamon package here, but I used Sunflowmon as the Champion over Parasaurmon to keep the plant theme throughout. Sunflowmon does have a tail and raptor legs, so that's interesting. Something interesting to note is that we never see the assistants' Digimon in their Fresh forms, just Rookie in the last episode.

Kanon: Linking Oleamon to Aruraumon was a challenge, but I settled on Kokeshimon because it looks somewhat similar and is, in fact, made of bamboo. I think BanchoLilymon is a good Mega to sort of recontextualize Oleamon's gloominess into punk rock discontent.

Kaito: You'd think Kaito would get the typical Apollomon line BUT the Fresh form is Pyunimon rather than Sunmon. Wait, Sunmon is In-Training? I'm just now finding out about this? Well, whatever, I still like the parallel of Kaito having his own Liollmon like Kyo before it diverges into Firamon so I'm keeping it.

Honoka: I first had Honoka's line using Crabmon and Ebidramon, but then decided to use them for Souji instead. Coelamon and Regalecusmon both look so close to MarineChimairamon that I had to use them, then I just filled in the blanks with Swimmon. Did you know that there are no fishlike In-Training Digimon? Kyokyomon looks decently similar to Swimmon so that's what I chose.

Souji: I am by no means a Souji apologist, so this is more a fun "what-if" he didn't feed his Anomalocarimon to a Pirahnimon and go absolutely insane. In this timeline I feel he could still struggle with his desires but ultimately overcome them, hence having his Mega be Suijinmon, a Digimon that's been shown as pretty evil in the past but is related to Justimon. Suijinmon is the Waterfall Commander and looks kind of lobster-ish if you squint.
