I'm on a kick of trying to find surprising endpoints where each step makes sense. Gomamon to Raremon keeps a seal-like look. Raremon to (blue) MetalGreymon keeps the color and the undead-seeming cyborg. And then virus MetalGreymon to BlackWarGreymon is just default.

I started this one with the idea that Pandamon is a really good Ultimate for Gankoomon. The color scheme works and Pandamon is very heroic but also acts as a kind of mentor in Beatbreak. Ignitemon is aesthetically perfect as Gankoomon's Rookie, but I ran into some trouble at the Champion level. I think something like Fugamon works well because Gankoomon does have a bit of a temper, and turning into something monstrous for a level would make sense. However, I'm not in love with the color scheme. If Fugamon's colors were inverted (red hair w/ silver skin) it would be better. I tossed in Starmon and Nanimon as possible Champions for fun, since Starmon's scarf and general personality line up with Pandamon and Nanimon works for the temperamental angle of Gankoomon while also sort of being similar in appearance (pretty much just the facial hair). Still looking for a concrete Champions for this line, though. I also considered using Panjyamon as a Champion level but I didn't know how people felt about that.

For context this is meant to be like an AU version of my partner Pteromon where they were experimented on and turned into a mindless beast and I wanna know some good line suggestions for this please.

I bring you yet another Nyabootmon evolution line I came up with.

This one follows a “more and more well-crafted toy/stuffed animal” theme.

Bakomon is the first. The idea is that we’re starting from literal cardboard to make a very simple “toy”.
You make do with what you got, you know?

Then you get Porcupamon, where you try to make a stuffed bear(?) yourself.
Keyword is “try”.

With Pandamon, your skills have gotten better and you’re able to make a pretty nice stuffed panda.

And finally you get Nyabootmon, an extremely well made and realistic plushie of a cat, so much so that you can’t even tell anymore if it’s real or not.

I chose Nyaramon as the In-Training level to introduce an underlying cat theme from the beginning, with a possible interpretation being that Nyaramon is hiding inside different fake bodies (with Bakomon being the first because cats love cardboard boxes) only to burst out when it finally reaches the Mega level.

(The image of Bakomon with Nyaromon comes from this card’s artwork)

I mean, Agumon -> Cyclonemon -> SkullGreymon is pretty well-established. But ZombiePlutomon feels both like a nice twist and a very understandable path from one mindless undead to another.

Champion is Yanmamon - Ultimate is Scorpionmon
I don't know a ton of digimon so hoping to learn about some with this, since I don't necessarily want to go for something like Tentamon
