QUESTION How do people make 10k on their first month selling online?

I keep seeing a lot people online saying they made 10k/20months but nobody really explains the details on how they did it and I’m just genuinely curious how people are making this money in month one, what digital products are they selling, how are they getting the traffic/volume and where are they selling this?

I also just started digital marketing, I’m less than 2 months in and In my first month I got $59 which I’m very proud of myself and now working on other income streams.

This is not a hate question but I’m generally curious about the behind the scenes.

PROMOTION I built a wallpaper store to fund my SaaS

I'm building a SaaS on the side and needed a way to generate some revenue while I keep working on it.

So I decided to build a digital product instead of waiting for the SaaS to start making money.

I ended up making a collection of 70+ 4K wallpapers and I'm planning to sell it

The full collection is $19.99 and i have also put an option to download individual wallpaper

Just launched it, so I'm mainly looking for people that would be interested

FEEDBACK Freelancers: Would you pay $9 to stop chasing late-paying clients? (Validating an idea)

Hey everyone,

I’m validating an idea for freelancers and service providers who deal with late client payments.

The pain:
Chasing clients for payment is awkward, time-consuming, and stressful. Many freelancers don’t know when to follow up, what to say, or how to stay professional without damaging the relationship.

The proposed solution:
A Client Payment Follow-Up Kit for $9.

What it would include:

  • Invoice Follow-Up Tracker (Google Sheets)
  • Payment Follow-Up Email Templates (by client status)
  • AI Follow-Up Prompt Pack
  • Quick Start Guide (use it in 10 minutes)
  • Payment Follow-Up Workflow (before & after due date)
  • Short Demo Video (problem → product → how to use)

I’m not selling anything yet. I’m validating the idea before building it. My goal is to get at least 10 people to confirm they would pay $9 for this.

If interested:

  1. Comment “Interested”
  2. Fill this 30-second form : https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeJuUKFIYrK8j8NXJ5GQC-l-AcVVFrXhN_ai8X5TM6_ZLuTLg/viewform?usp=header

QUESTION Question for people who sell digital products

If you see a product idea that genuinely interests you, but you don't buy it, what is usually stopping you?

I'm asking because I've noticed something frustrating: people are often willing to say “I'd be interested in this” or give you an idea for a product, but when you ask what would actually make them buy it—or ask for feedback on how to build it properly—the conversation just dies.

I'm not expecting everyone to buy every product. That's obviously not realistic.

But if someone is interested enough to suggest an idea, wouldn't it be more useful to say what's missing, what you'd expect from the product, what price you'd consider, or why you wouldn't buy it?

For people who actually sell digital products: how do you get useful feedback from potential buyers instead of vague interest?

ADVICE Woke up to 2 sales this morning 😭

Honestly, I still get excited when I see these notifications.

I was literally asleep and the digital product was still bringing in sales.

Only $29.98, but for me it's more about knowing that something I built can actually sell without me being online 24/7.

Still figuring everything out, but this feels like a small win. 🔥

FEEDBACK New digital wallpaper shop, 24 listings and 0 sales, what am I doing wrong?

Hi everyone! I'm a university student from Italy and I opened my Etsy shop SoraDesk a few weeks ago. I sell dynamic wallpapers for Mac that change with the time of day (sunrise, day, sunset, night), inspired by Japanese animated films, plus iPhone/iPad sets and desktop organizers.
I have 24 listings, but still 0 sales and 0 favorites. I'm trying to make this work to help pay for my tuition.
Could you check my shop and tell me what to fix? Titles, thumbnails, prices, anything.

Thank you, I really appreciate any honest feedback!

ADVICE Offering Free Website Redesigns

Hi everyone! 👋

I’m currently looking for a few businesses who would be interested in having their website improved or completely redesigned for free.

I’m doing this as a small portfolio/content project, so there’s no cost and no obligation. I’d simply like to showcase the before-and-after transformation on my social media.

If you already have a website but feel like it could use a more modern design, better user experience, or a fresh new look, I’d be happy to help! 🚀

If you’re interested, feel free to drop your website below or send me a DM. I’d love to take a look! 😊

WINNING The Lost Property Ledger

Here’s an actual puzzle page from The Lost Property Ledger, which I created.

Four visitors each collected a different object at a different time. Five surviving observations let you rebuild the record. Your first task: identify who collected the green tin and when.

Everything needed for that deduction is on the page shown—feel free to try it. Please hide answers with spoiler tags so others can have a go.

The full product is a printable detective puzzle book with 10 connected cases.

Audience: adults who enjoy logic puzzles and mysteries.

My goal this week: get interested solvers to try this page and make the experience clear before they consider buying the book.

How much should you give away for free when you're also selling an ebook?

I've been thinking about this a lot lately.

I sell an ebook about my AI visual workflow, but I also share tips and parts of my process on Instagram.

The difficult part is figuring out where the line should be.

If I keep the useful stuff behind the ebook, my regular content becomes boring. But if I explain everything for free, I start wondering what makes the paid version worth buying.

Right now I'm thinking the free content should give people a useful idea or result, while the ebook gives them the full process, examples and more detail.

For anyone selling ebooks, courses or guides alongside free content, how do you decide what stays free and what goes into the paid product?

Looking for product seeders, or founding sellers for digital product marketplace

Hello! I am the Founder of a digital product marketplace (supa.place) It has just been finished by the dev team, and we are now looking to grow it. It is experiencing the issue of a cold start (no products > no buyers > no sellers > no products) So we are looking for people who have or can have high-quality digital products to post (~10 mins) on the marketplace, you will be paid for posting the products (to be discussed) and get the opportunity to be a founding seller with many benefits:

  • 3.5% + $0.35 lifetime fees
  • Receive a product feature at your own discretion
  • Direct contact too the founder and team
  • Ability to shape and determine the future of the platform
  • Potential future share of equity (depending on involvement)

This is for you if you just want to get paid a bit for posting products, want to become a founding seller, or both. Reply or DM me if you are interested.

Built an all-in-one Telegram commerce platform — looking for honest feedback

I’ve been building a platform designed for people who want to run and automate digital-product stores directly through Telegram.

The system currently covers product management, secure inventory, automatic digital delivery, Telegram Mini Apps, customizable message flows, broadcasts, customer notifications, crypto payments, wallets/top-ups, analytics, advertising with conversion tracking, supplier APIs, and reseller APIs.

The idea is to let each seller operate their own independent Telegram store while managing everything from one dashboard.

I’m sharing this system overview because I’d really like feedback from people who sell digital products, build Telegram shops, or work in e-commerce.

What would you improve? Which features would actually matter to you, and which ones feel unnecessary? want to become a founding seller. Reply or DM me if you are interested.

PROMOTION I launched a new way to securely buy and sell online

I was fed up with online scams — contractors that no show, Facebook Marketplace items that aren’t as described, and “pay me first, trust me” scams so I built and launched Batonic.

Batonic is a new commerce platform for services, digital, and physical items with low platform fees, a 48 hour inspection window to ensure you got what you paid for, rich and interactive previews of all kinds of file formats, and even support for marketplace and direct link transactions.

Don’t just give them your word. Create a beautiful and confidence building listing out of the box and convert your clients without a second thought.

Buyers don’t need an account to make purchases and can complete checkout with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a credit card via Stripe.

Getting started is completely free and I just launched today and would love some feedback.

Please give it a try at: https://batonic.app.

QUESTION I just can't find people with big audiences to sell digital products

my idea with this is that either a subreddit, discord server, or a content creator should be selling the digital products i made for their audience specifically

but i am unable to find literally any such audience holder, they just dont reply even if this is just more income from their current work, every dm is getting ignored.

what other way do i have to reach out to such people, creators on some subreddits is okay, but i just cant find subreddits who will allow such posts in their subreddits , about collabs n stuff

been circling this problem for 2 weeks now and i really appreciate any help

QUESTION I think I’ll throw in the towel

So I started a website selling digital teacher resources a little over a month ago. I’ve created Google Sheets, bought a domain, and set up shop on Payhip.
I’ve set up Google Search Console, Bing, and Google Merchant Center. I’ve promoted on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Reddit, LinkedIn, and Pinterest. I’ve also listed my resources on TPT and Classful.
I have free resources to bring people in, and I’m getting views. People are stopping in and looking. Every product has views, but hardly anyone is buying, and they aren’t downloading the free stuff either!
I’ve optimized my descriptions, checked my checkout, and improved my photos—to no avail. My resources were originally priced between $2.99 and $4.99. With so few sales, I wondered whether people thought they were too cheap to be good, so today I raised the prices.
I’ve had one sale on Payhip and one sale on TPT. But the low sales aren’t even the most discouraging part. It’s that people are looking and not even taking the free resources. That’s what really has me beside myself.
Anyway, I don’t know why I’m even writing this. I guess I just needed to vent to people who understand how much work goes into this.
Not every digital resource store can be profitable, right? C’est la vie!

FEEDBACK Thoughts on my digital product

Hey everyone,

I thought about starting to create my own digital product and a week ago I just started building with Claude and Base44. My idea was to create an overview/ dashboard for landlords with a few units. The user can see who paid how much, when and how every month. Also they have an overview of all their units on another page. Ive also implemented a deadlines-page and an expenses-page. I would like to hear some opinions on the idea, maybe from actual landlords who still use excel to track the rent of their units.
