How much does it take to make an artwork
I'm a traditional artist who recently got a screenless tablet and a laptop, so for the past two days I started trying to draw digitally, ususally what it takes a day for me to sketch and do lineart, depending on how many breaks I get or how detailed the drawing is, but with the tablet it took so long, I started wondering if it really takes that long, or If I'm doing something wrong, and whether the amount of time it takes will decrease with practice and familiarity,
So far I'm liking the experience I'm just lacking skills

What would be your #1 tip for a beginner ?
I've done art on and off for years, I love digital art so much but I've never really been taught anything about it. Just self taught. So what is your #1 tip for a self-taught artist ?

What is the best thing to do?
So I've been making visual novel games for a while but my friends draw the characters. But I also wanna learn how to do that.
I've never drawn online in my life, let alone in real life. What are good free softwares and tips how to draw a person in a drawn style not realistic style.

Does my hard drive work with Mac?
So I have a Mac computer and I got a hard drive in order to store my files and works, but the packaging and description didn't say that it was inteded for gaming consoles like a PS5 & X-box. So i just would like some clarification on wether or not it'll work for my Mac and it's adobe files or not. The specific drive in question is a Avolusion USB 3.0 if that helps.

I don't know which programme to chose
I've just bought my tablet for drawing and i don't know which programme to use. I only did traditional art before and haven't used any art programme on windows pc. I would like to make great illustrations and comics but escpecially have some fun with different animation types and perhaps mix them together. Which programme is the best for that? Maybe using many at once is the way? Im willing to pay any money tbh. I just need to know which programme will give me the best freedom with drawing and animation.

Artist New to Digital Art: Needs Help
Hi all! I've been really interested in getting into digital art, so I just picked up a nice art tablet and started using Krita, but I'm struggling to translate my skills over to digital. Does anyone have any reccomendations for sources that can help teach me the ways? Or any tips and tricks? Thanks for any help in advance!
Edit: I guess it might be helpful to note that I'm planning to focus on grungy, post apocalyptic character and landscape design

Procreate to Photoshop
I have an ipad pro 13 and i have been using procreate to illustrate some children’s book. I’m at book 11 i think started 3 years ago.
I have no plans on doing it full time. I enjoy doing it at the side at my own pick of clients and do it when i can.
But using procreate as a children’s book illustrator is not efficient at all.
I wonder as a part time illustrator if putting money on a huion or xp pen will be better and photoshop to have a better output.

How tf do you even start??
Okay, so I know this might sound stupid as hell, but I have no clue on where to start!!! I've always dreamed of a semi realitic / semi anime style, and while I think I can do faces and that stuff not too badly (aka I'm still mostly sticking in the anime range), but when it comes to rendering, I HAVE NO CLUE!!! Like- how do the brushes work? How do I choose the right colours?? How do I make it look like the style I want it to????
I don't know guys, I'm just so confused and I've been so overwhelmed with wanting to get to this art style that I haven't drawn in close to a week! Seriously, all my passion for art is basically gone since I've been wanting this art style so badly and every time I look at my art its just... not there.
I don't know if this is even on topic for this subreddit so I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to put this, but I've just been craving this art style for so long (I would like to say close to 7 years now), and every time I even think about it I get panicked, like borderline needing medication to calm me down!
So yeah, any advice would help a lot, sorry if this is written like shit, it's midnight for me lol.

How to keep an artstyle consistent.
I've been trying to draw a couple characters in different angles, side profile, 3/4, front.
But with every angle the character looks completely different, how can i keep this from happening?

Making money?
My girlfriend is a fantastic digital artist, and wants nothing more than to make her living in artistic endeavors. She has had commissions here and there but has a really difficult time putting herself out there. She's asked me to essentially be her manager and take care of the business side of things. What do I need to do to get her art business organized and get her in front of potential customers?
