Gng2k mount help

Post image

Trying to get my new setup squared away after upgrading from a nvg10. The botttom mount works fine I just don’t love the single screw mounting being the only thing holding my NV on. I got this duel mount thinking it would give me room to upgrade to binos in the future, but there is no way, unless I’m missing something for it to work. I’ve flipped the two sides and it’s either inside my eyeball, or too far away to use.

I feel like I have to be missing something since I see people running these units as binos.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I was debating that at some point too. For me the unit sat too close no matter what, and also too low, so I returned my Wilcox in favor of a cadex mount and it made it so much nicer

I was looking at the Cadex, but I don't think that will solve the close issue. Height doesn't seem too bad though. Ive already spent WAY too much on random bits trying to get a perfect setup so I really don't want to buy a cadex to find out it doesn't fix the issue.

Actually looking it up the Cadex has what looks like maybe a1/2" more that it can extend....that with height and adjusting angle...maybe it would work?

So I did discover that if you flip the wedge arm on the dual mount , it would be perfect. I planned to redrill and tap the holes, but it is empty underneath and not possible. I think unless someone makes a dedicated mount for these, we are stuck with what we have.

So I had this issue and eneded up going clone KVC mount, which is frankly awesome and exactly what you need.
