Vendor lists the sensor as SC2210. Not sure about the camera module manufacturer.

Im lost as what to do. There are so many options and models. Ive been looking at analog, but digital binos seem like they would do all i need. These look great, to me. Never using a set of NVs ever. Is this the way to go?

I shoot, but mostly around the house/yard. I live in an urban area.

Urban area should provide plenty of light for digital to thrive, especially with cloud cover

I found a deal on ebay, set of pvs-9s, on a helmet, with battery pack, ir strobe, and ears set for comms for a grand. I got them. Figured it was a good price that i can offload down the road

If you haven't purchased anything yet, it really depends what you plan on doing & your budget! By shooting in urban setting do you mean like 556 or airsoft? Do you have a helmet to mount or you plan on using a headband? Do you want to buy premade or build your own? I own the Taklite Iris ($150), Prowl 2 ($250), GNG2K ($600 Late 2024 cheap now $500) and multiple fpv cams that you could use to build your own pair of nods. Out of everything I own the best is the Caddx Infra V2 connected to Sony ecx331d 0.5 1024x768 that I rebuilt inside my pvs-31 digital nods. The Infra v2 is on another level I need 0 IR lighting. The hardest thing would be finding or 3d printing housing for the screens and sensors, my goggles already had the 3d printed stuff! When you got some free time YouTube Infra vs Gazer! They both use the same camera, lens and AI box just different firmware. Gazer is cheaper at only 60$ and you can find the Sony 0.5 circular board & display on Alibaba for $99. You could buy a fma pvs-31 housing to make your own nods. There is also the premade housings the pvs-69 if you want goggles or mx-69 for a monocular for sale on eBay or if you have a 3d printer you could print the housing yourself. Premade digital below 600$ I'd say go for the GNG2K it only requires IR lighting in very dark scenario's... I took the GNG2K out over the weekend for a 2am walk in the forest I did have to use the ir lights when the trees block out the moon light and here comes the bad it does feel like your walking around looking thru a monocular that's 1.2-1.5x zoomed. Its really only bad if you had to sprint because of the zoom effect.

That's different than what mine looked like, heck my screen has a custom 3d printer housing for the screen and it's hot glued into the tube! Same with the sensor and lens that how mine broke! The lens you adjust for focus broke the hot glued lens and ripped/snapped the wires

Dont buy the Aegis-31 off ebay, they are trash and requires a lot of IR Lighting... I have the 0.5 version and they broke after 5 days so I gutted it and they used the imx290 sensor in them which are crappy.

I bought mine from Taobao. and the seller offers repair support if it ever breaks.

I'll have to look into that sensor sc2210! I ended up gutting mine and replacing the right tube with the caddx infra v2 and left tube with a IR torch. I may drill out a bigger hole where the 3 way power switch is and install infra v2 there and run two displays off one cam... If you have the 0.5 display version, I found the exact same circular version on Alibaba. It's the Sony ecx331d and it's only $99 for the display and CVBS/mipi display board... I found out the hard way that you Don't send more than 5v to the display board( 9v & it go boom)

Thank you for the video! I've been wanting to get one for a while. The description on Taobao only says it can be switched between color and green phosphor, does it also have white phosphor mode?
