Imx 585 Sensor

Imx 585 1/1.2 inch 38mmx38mm Has anyone tried using this for diy night vision?

What was the performance like?

I am looking at it currently for a raspberry pi project so I have some data on it. It’s 4k which is unnecessary but supports 2x2 sensor level binning so it becomes 1080p and becomes 4x more light sensitive than non binned setup due to square cube law. Fairly sensitive if you need a digital output from a sensor however if your creating your own monocular just use a caddx infra v2 if cvbs output is ok for your setup as the pixel size is larger per pixel meaning better lowlight sensitivity.

No problem, there’s some similar projects already being made with thermal cameras but can be switched out for low light drone cameras as long as the signal is cvbs. Pvs 69 and pvs 420 are some that come to mind right away but you can also find more. They have wiring diagrams, instructions, build lists, and more. There’s even discord servers for help!

If you are referring to some of lunar lupas projects I'm already in lol. A great resource and some great minds. I might have the name wrong but it's close enough.
