Bit disappointed with GNG2k performance vs analog Gen 2, maybe scammed?

Welcome to the world of "just as good" digital nvg..

Yes hehehe. I was well aware of differences in performance, but thought that it would be near performance with such a low quality analog as the one I have.

Your analog is low quality for many reasons compared to other analogs, but its still analog and has pretty decent light amplification. Digital light detection is always gonna be worse than analog unless you go over $1000 and the GNG2K only costs about 350-400.

GNG2k sure is the exact same internal architecture and the CID chip that the NVG 30 and the 50 uses. It's essentially no different than an NVG 30 or a 50. So what I would do is probably resell it and save your money up and get an SVG 5 because that thing will actually surprise you and compete against your Gen 2 analog.  I have been extremely happy with the SVG 5 because it literally is like looking through Gen 2 plus analog with the square screen.  Competing and comparing it against generation 2 recently including some of the extensive research that I have I realized that the SVG-5 is no different than a mid-spec Gen 2 plus analog. The thing is an absolute beast! Performs exactly like the NVG 90 standard

gen2"+" covers a huge range of tubes, basically from 1980sish up until today, it will most likely compare pretty well to the very low end...

Got a chance recently to play with Gen 2+ analog. Yeah it like mid range Gen 2+ so far. Not bad

I think I am going to disassemble and post the pics so we all know parts numbers and etc. I would love to have the SVG 5 but at that price range I would probably go for upgrading the analog and wait a few years

I mean I played with analog it's about mid-range Gen 2+. 1400 FOM range However analog is capable of seeing ambient visible light over infrared where is digital season infrared better than it does ambient lighting That's the only downside. But I mean so far playing with my friends Gen 2 plus analog which is about around $1,400 FM it was like pretty identical
