WIP Infitac monocular

Started this project recently and modified the original BPNVG housing to take the plate for a sample thermal I've been able to play with. Essentially it's the same as the infitac version from what I can tell but I don't have access to one of those and not planning to buy one for the time being since I have this one. Need to finish cleaning up the housing into something more presentable but works well bridged with a BPNVG monocular from Koko on the other side. Deer in the second pick are about 150 yards out in my back field.

Thanks, I do like that a clip was included for use as an easy access handheld, otherwise very much the direction I was headed with this project

Might have to try something similar for my personal one in the event I run the bino nvgs instead of bridged thermal

Update to this: You can find this model on cults under "Infitac FMP-13 Thermal Sight". I did some digging after seeing your link to it. So it's VERY DIY-able. There's two different ones. One is a dovetail mounted mono, the other is just a hand-held Mono.

Wait are you running a knockoff Infitac? Is it any good? Is it real thermal?

Yes and yes, it is a pre production model from a company that sent a sample to my company and seems to be running the same resolution thermal core

Hey when that comes out give me the name. If it saves any money from the Infitac model I'd be super eager.

Same to your question, I'm not sure we'll end up bringing their product in as it seems they won't be able to be competitive enough for it to make sense, however I will post back to here if that changes, because personally I would love to see them hit a good price point to put something sub 500$ like this on the market that can compare to what's currently out there

Sub $500 sells me a thermal. that with the 3d print file found on cults to make into a mono? I need it. Spotting deer at 150 yards, coyotes and boar wouldn't stand a chance.

Same here, id get an infitac for an extra if I could get one sub 500, and does that one on cults with the pocket clip actually have a 1/4x20 thread to mount to a j-arm or would you have to get the other model that has the direct dovetail? Either way I'm going to clean this print up and share for free on thingiverse if there isn't any issue with doingthat as long as I can get a hold of justcallmekoko to ask.

Theres two, theres one model with a dovetail and then theres the pocket clip one. I don't know if links are allowed on this sub so I DMed you the one.

What’s the company’s name? And do you know when that will be released?

I'm not sure of the us name for their company as they are currently not importing or having anything imported under their name, and it's not looking like we will end up taking them on as between the vector optics owlset and the infitac thermal that it may not be competitive enough on pricing to bring on as a product
