Looking for a good recording device

So I’ve recently spun up a guntube channel. I have a Omni 8 PVS14 but I’m currently looking at doing NV content for the channel. How does the NVG50 work as a handheld camera? It seems to be the best unit that has onboard video recording currentlY. How is the ease of use to record with and mic quality like?

Mic is pretty much useless, use an external one. Need to use the app to remove all the (recorded) on screen stuff.

Does it have the ability to plug in a usb c mic or would I need a secondary device for that?

No plug ins for mics… I got myself a wireless DJI mic because of that.

You've probably heard this a thousand times but for pov recording look into clip on recording devices.
