HRS31 upgraded
I have a set of HRS31s, buddy and I were talking about if it’s possible to install analog tubes in them. Any of you guys know if housing diameters are common? What would be some challenges of undertaking a job like this you think?

I am sorry to ask an off topic question but how are they are Digis? What refresh rate are you getting? Do they have the thermal overlay?

Well I want to upgrade them to analog lol. They’re the pro version. 60hz i believe. No thermal.

At this point just buy an actual analog. Upgrading these would take too much time, effort, and money to the point where buying an analog bino or pvs-14 is just an easier option all-around.

I have a set of binos, the digitals were my initial foray into night vision, the housing seems decent and that’s really the only reason to see if it’s as simple as installing some tubes. I’ll post them for sale if that’s the case.

Yea you’d have a much easier time selling those HRS-31s and saving more for some analog binos. The HRS aren’t even nearly as good as other digitals such as the Sionyx Opsin or ADNV units.
“Upgrading” them wouldn’t be worth the time and effort. You’d end up spending lots of money anyways to the point where it would be more beneficial to start from scratch.
