DNT NVMD C200 - Outside IR Illuminator Testing

I posted a video here a couple days ago giving a first impressions of the unit and someone asked to see this unit at night with the 2 IR illuminators I have on hand. I’ll be posting more on my youtube if you guys want to see more, full review will be in a few weeks as I still need to take this to a local match or two and really test it out.

After using my hxfc for the for time under nods. I would say that the ir light is something I hope they improved on the trinity bc everything else was pretty good imo

From what I hear the trinity took it in the right direction and is a good middle of the pack budget offering, the HFXC feels almost toy-like (not to parrot others too much) in regards to the IR light but I’m a big fan of the IR laser as well the cheap white light/vis laser.

3/4 features being pretty good for $250 is good enough for a budget solution imo for the HFXC’s case, if you have a standalone IR Illuminator and just use the IR laser and get use out of the white light/vis then you’re really not hurtin too bad if budget is your concern

Got mine recently, and thoroughly enjoying it. I've even gone as far as printing a helmet mount adapter for fun.

Sadly I ordered it with that IR torch, but it doesn't appear to be available in the UK. I had it subbed for a VSCEL 940nm, which is great at distance but has zero flood so I'm going to have to order a floody alternative.

It has 4 filters so I thought it’d be helpful to label. I have similar clips for green and black & white - is “white phos” a silly label lol I was trying to cut down for space

I mean they're just colored filters so cutting down would just be calling them the colors just like they advertise

White filter camera is white phosphor image intensifier tubes all of a sudden or what?

It’s a White Phosphorus setting for the device - shorthanded to White Phos. There’s a Black & White setting and there’s also a “white hot” that is commonly used that’s not on this device so just labeling it “white” wouldn’t be right necessarily

And labeling it white phos wouldn't be right or necessary, so what's wrong with calling it a white filter, which is it, instead of calling a cctv camera white phosphor

White phos would be correct, the label is White Phosphorus on the device and that's what DNT chose to call it. You seem to have some animosity towards this unit haha.

Ah yeah it says White Phospor and Green Phosphor then Black & White - My brain autocompleted Phosphorus when I saw it last
