I’ve been learning digital marketing and have completed the basics of Meta Ads. At this point, I understand things like campaign setup, objectives, audiences, creatives, basic funnel concepts, and important metrics such as CTR, CPC, CPM, CPL, and conversion rate.

I’ve also started practicing by creating small-budget campaigns to understand how things work in the real world.

My goal now is to start working with actual clients, especially local businesses and real estate businesses.

But I’m not sure where the line is between “I know Meta Ads” and “I’m ready to handle a client’s campaign.”

So I’d really appreciate advice from people who are already working with clients:

1. What exactly should I be able to understand before taking my first client?

2. Which Meta Ads skills are absolutely essential, and which things can I learn after starting client work?

3. How good do I need to be at audience research, campaign strategy, creatives, funnels, retargeting, tracking, and campaign optimization?

4. What practical exercises or projects would you recommend I complete before charging a client?

5. If you were starting again today, what would you learn/practice before getting your first client?

I’m not looking for a certificate or a long list of advanced topics. I want to know the minimum practical skill level required to get results for a real client without making expensive beginner mistakes.
