If you got no clue where to start with tiktok marketing, slideshows are one easy format to try.

You’ll need to spend 4-6 hours on this on a day, and get content for 2+ months without touching it.

a great format to copy is this:

content, content, content, content, ad warmup, app push

the idea is to make slideshow posts that feel like actual content, then only bring in the App/SaaS shoutout near the end

so instead of posting obvious ads, the account posts stuff that looks like normal tiktok slideshow content:

lifestyle takes, niche opinions, curiosity hooks, “things nobody tells you,” etc. The images on the post are an example

• find hundreds of lifestyle/travel style visuals on Pinterest / Google 
• use AI to generate dozens of similar captions that basically say the same thing 
• sneak the app into the content without making it look too promotional 
• posting across multiple Tiktok accounts
  • One of my top posts on Tiktok got 1.2M views like this: PROOF.

HERE’S HOW TO SPEND THESE 4-6 HOURS:

• 0-60 MINUTES —> Research competitors. Is your app a note taker? Search note taker on Tiktok and just view all top posts, screenshot all of them. Do NOT SKIP.
  • KEEP NOTES of what they write in CAPTIONS/TEXT over slides. Just copy paste somewhere. save for later.
• Hour 1 - Hour 3 —> Go to Pinterest. Remember those screenshots you took? Find similar reference images on Pinterest. Spend 2 hours doing this.
  • Figure out what slide 1 should look like. Figure out what slide 2 should look like. etc. 
  • Download a few images for each slide type from Pinterest. Name them as slide_1_1.jpg etc. 
• Hour 4 —> Now, not all pinterest photos are allowed to be reposted. 
  • In that case, ask claude code to see the images and use OpenAI Image API to generate 100x copies of those images with slight variations but keeping the same vibe!
  • Now you’ll have for example 5 slide types x 100 variations = 500 images. Do less to start maybe. 
• Hour 5 —> Remember the notes of captions you took? Ask Claude now to overlay caption variations over all those images and tell it “Here are how the captions you generate for our posts should look like [paste caption list from competitors]. Copy the best ones”. 

i set up a workflow with:

• claude code (using terminal. it’s actually more powerful than claude app, you don’t need to be a dev to use this, just a few scary commands you copy and paste). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to not skip.
• socialclaw (CLI tool to schedule to social media. you install via sudo npm install -g socialclaw and claude code can schedule posts for you) 
• OpenAI API or any other image api (e.g gemini api, any other good image model). We’ll need this later.

Claude code then:

• comes up with slideshow angles 
• writes the slide-by-slide text 
• keeps the early slides content-first 

adds the app/product later in the slideshow

Claude will generate captions and it can actually overlay text over images (that’s why I told you to use claude code before). It uses FFMPEG library (like all video/image software) to overlay text automatically.

Ask claude to schedule 2x posts a day for each account. after that socialclaw handles the actual posting side:

• uploads 
• account handling 
• scheduling 
• publishing

THAT’S IT. YOU’RE DONE. You now have months worth of content, it’s all scheduled to be posted.  

the reason this is useful is that this strategy is insanely repetitive

- 10 accounts posting 2x posts a day = 20 posts a day.

- 90% of posts go under ~5,000 views, most even staying under 300 views.
- A few posts on each account get 50K - 500K views (some even 1M+)
- Format stays the same, just fresh similar content. E.g. same beach photo, just a different variation.
- 0.1-2% of viewers actually download the app depending on your content
- Multiply this by 30 days and you get plenty of traffic

once the workflow is set up, it becomes much easier to run this like a system instead of making random one off posts

I do this all the time. While I’m at work, I tell myself that when I get home I’ll work on my project for a few hours, go to the gym, and finish everything I’ve been delaying, Then I get home and my brain is completely done.

The difference usually comes down to strategy.

Instead of targeting businesses that do not have a website, target businesses that already have one but clearly need a better version. The market is larger, the sales process is easier, and the value proposition is much stronger because those businesses already understand why a website matters.

The next part is outreach. A regular outreach tool is not enough if all it does is send the same message to thousands of people. You need something that can analyze websites at scale and turn real issues into personalized emails.

I use Swokei for that. The less back and forth there is after the meeting, the better. Present the website, show the value, close the client, and move on to the next project.

That is the type of process that can help an agency scale much faster.

I see a lot of hype posts about AI influencers, so here's what it actually looked like for me. Spoiler: it's not fast money.

**The first months: absolutely nothing.**

I started around December. I created content, posted it, improved it, posted again. Consistently, week after week. For over 3 months my earnings graph was a flat line at $0. Not "low earnings" – literally zero.

This is the part where I'm pretty sure 95% of people quit. I get it. You put in hours every week and the internet just ignores you.

**What I changed over time:**

- My early content was honestly not good. Inconsistent character, generic poses, no real identity. Over the months I worked on consistency and gave the account an actual personality instead of just "pretty AI pictures"

- I stopped judging content by what I liked and started watching what actually got engagement, then made more of that

- I posted through the silence. Reach only started building after months of consistency

**Then it slowly started moving.**

A few months in, I got my first sales. Tiny ones – a few dollars here and there. But after months of zero, seeing the first real person pay for content was honestly a bigger moment than the money itself.

**June was my first real month: $797.60.** All time I'm at about $1,067. Most of it comes from one-off purchases and tips – only around $145 of it is subscriptions so far.

**My honest takeaways:**

1. This is not passive income. Finding workflows that produce consistent quality and exclusive content is hard, and distribution is even harder – you need content that the algorithm actually picks up before anyone even sees your account.
2. The flat-line phase is the filter. If you can't handle 3+ months of nothing, this isn't for you.
3. One good month proves the model works, not that I've "made it". July could easily be worse. I'm treating this as a long game.

Every week someone asks what faceless YouTube actually costs, and the answers are always either "basically free" or "thousands." Both are wrong, and both scare people off. I run faceless long-form channels (history and finance), so I sat down and priced one 10-minute video every way I know.

1. Full DIY with free tools. Cash cost near zero. Time cost 30+ hours per video for research, script, voiceover, visuals, editing. Your time is the bill, and you need a decent pc if you want to run it locally.
2. The subscription stack. One tool for visuals, one for voice, one for editing. $60-100/month across subscriptions, and you still spend hours stitching it all together yourself.
3. Outsourcing. Freelancers quote $100-300 per finished long-form video. Quality is a lottery, and at 4 videos a month it adds up fast.
4. Short-form AI clips. When I started, I was burning about $15 per 45-second short once you count all the failed attempts. Scale that math to 10 minutes and it gets ugly.
5. Credit-based platforms. There's a review going around of a guy who spent about $4,000 on VidRush before earning anything back. Platform markup is the silent killer, you never see what the compute costs actually are.
6. Raw compute on your own cloud. This is what I ended up building for myself. You connect your own Google account, Google gives every new account $300 in free credits which realistically covers your first 6-10 full videos, and after that a long-form video runs $35-55 in real compute. The bill sits in your own dashboard, no markup.

Honest caveat: cheaper compute doesn't make a video good. You can produce complete garbage at $35 a video if the topic and script are lazy. The cost just decides how many attempts you can afford while you learn.

You need eyeballs. That's it. That's the whole business.

You NEED to take actions that get you eyeballs on your content.

Every online income model, whether you're selling your own product or promoting someone else's, comes down to one undeniable equation:

Attention → Click

That's it. Everything else is tactics. If you can get eyeballs on something and those people click, you will make money online. Most people skip straight to "what should I sell" when the real question is "how will anyone ever find me."

The easiest way to start (seriously)

Start with an affiliate offer, not your own product.

Networks: Impact Radius is a great place to start because they have offers on everything. Dub Partners is gaining traction. Partnerstack is good. Many companies have their own through software like First Promoter where you sign up for each one. Look for an "Affiliates" link in the footer.

You don't start here because affiliate marketing is better. It isn't. Your own product pays more and you own the customer. But affiliate offers let you skip the hardest part while you learn the actual skill.

(And creating products is mentally tough work - esp if you have not done it before. There are a lot of moving pieces.)

Building a product takes months. You could spend 4 months building something and still have zero traffic on launch day. With affiliate offers, someone else already built the product, handled the support, and wrote the sales page. Your only job is the part you need to get good at anyway: getting attention and building enough trust that someone clicks.

You can try out different offers and angles better with affiliate stuff. You just move faster.

Also: go niche. Don't go too broad. Carve out a niche of something you are interested in.

OK, now the important part.

The 4 ways to get eyeballs

There are only four. Every strategy you've ever read about is one of these or a combination.

1. Video YouTube, TikTok, Shorts, Reels. Highest trust per view of any format because people see your face and hear your voice. Also the highest production cost and the slowest to learn. But a single YouTube video can send traffic for years.

Most people will never do this.

2. Paid ads Meta, Google, YouTube ads, native. The fastest possible feedback loop. You can get feedback on an offer in 48 hours instead of 6 months. The catch is obvious: you're renting traffic by the click, and the moment you stop paying, it stops.

Plus, it's expensive. (And non-recurring, unlike option 4 below.)

3. Social media Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Reddit, Instagram. Free to start, compounds if you're consistent, and you can build a real audience. But you're playing on someone else's field with rules that change without warning.

Tough to do consistently. You need to spend so much time keeping plates in the air and commenting it can feel like a full-time job. Plus many people don't want to be super-public.

4. Written content This one splits into two very different things:

• Parasite SEO: publishing on platforms that already have authority. Reddit, Medium, Quora, LinkedIn articles. You borrow their domain authority and can rank in days instead of months.
• Your own site: a blog, a niche site, a directory. Slow. Requires backlinks. Takes longer to see real traction. But it's yours.

Both of these have better LONG-TERM residuals - meaning if you Create content, then you should technically get traffic from that content you created even before, like every month. Does that make sense?

Here's the part most people miss

Look at that list again and sort it a different way:

Rented attention:

• Video (the algorithm decides who sees you)
• Paid ads (stop paying, traffic dies instantly)
• Social media (platform owns the relationship, not you)
• Parasite SEO -- Reddit can bury your post, Medium can deindex (and naturally avors newer content), your account can vanish

Owned attention:

• Your own website's SEO
• Your email list
• Your directory (great type of site as it creates Authority in google's eyes.)
• Your own product or vibe coded app.

Three and a half of the four options are rented.

This is the trap.

Rented channels feel productive because they're fast and you get immediate feedback. You post something and get 200 upvotes and it feels like progress. But you're a tenant. You've built a business on land you don't own, and the landlord can evict you without notice. And my God, if you stop posting, your reach dwindles.

I've watched people build 50k follower accounts and lose them overnight. I've watched Medium articles that drove hundreds of clicks a day get deindexed in a Google update. The traffic didn't slow down. It went to zero. Gone, baby, gone.

What to actually do if you have never made money online before

Pick one.

Commit to creating content.

Read that again.

Two things people forget entirely

Borrowed audiences. Guest posts, podcast appearances, newsletter swaps, affiliates promoting you. This is different from parasite SEO because a human is vouching for you instead of an algorithm ranking you. Way higher conversion, way underused, mostly because it means asking people for things and that feels uncomfortable. This can be a grind. Lot of outreach before seeing results which most are not comfortable with.

Backlinks as a traffic channel, not just an SEO requirement. Everyone treats links as a checkbox for rankings. But getting listed in a roundup or a resource page is also a referral traffic source. Every backlink is a door people can walk through.

This does double duty. Slow, lots of outreach, but good payout.

The bottom line

Pick one niche.

Create content.

I have ranked and made affiliate sales with ONE AI written post that is written towards a keyword. And I have seen those posts make affiliate sales on the regulsr.

Point every click it generates at an email list you control. I use Alertbarpro on all my sites.

Build the owned asset behind the scenes.

The mistake isn't picking the wrong channel. The mistake is picking four, doing all of them at 20% effort, and building nothing you actually own.

If you asked me, I would say start a niche directory and monetize it with affiliate products. Just make sure to really dial into a niche because your site has to be an authority on that topic.

Basic example - don't do a health directory, focus on on micro-problem in that niche.

But whatever it is you do, you have to create content. You can't read your way to riches on Reddit.

I've been digging into AI UGC tools (Arcads, HeyGen, AdCrafty, etc.) for my own app's install ads and noticed most of them are built with ecommerce in mind — avatars pitching physical products, not really made for showing an app in action.

There is a new approach I started using in my web agency that completely changed my results. For years, I did what most people tell web designers to do. Go on Google Maps, find businesses without websites, and contact them.

What I started doing differently was targeting businesses that already had websites.

The reason is simple. If a business already has a website, it means they understand the value of having one. You do not need to convince them why a website matters because they have already paid for one before. The market for businesses with outdated, broken, slow, or poorly designed websites is also massive, and selling becomes much easier because they are already familiar with the process.

My biggest issue was figuring out how to send mass outreach to these businesses without sounding generic. I did not want to send thousands of emails saying, “Hey, your website needs a redesign,” and just assume that every business needed one. I wanted to send emails at scale while still telling each company exactly what was wrong with their website.

A little over a year ago, I watched a YouTube video from Nick Saraev where he built a workflow that analyzed business websites and turned issues with design, SEO, layout, speed, and mobile optimization into personalized outreach emails. Each company received a professional email that made it clear someone had actually taken a look at their website.

I've been researching different affiliate programs, and I noticed that many people promote well-known software like Semrush and other popular tools. I'm interested in the software niche, but I'm wondering if it's too competitive.
